For Those With Outlaws and Offroads

I only want feedback from those who have done this. I have flowmaster outlaws and I do like the sound. Drone at 70 mph roughly, can be annoying but I honestly have no complaints. I mean with loudness comes drone for the most part.

I am getting an offroad x or H (havent decided). Any advice from those who done it? Gt500 mufflers seem to tame for my taste and everything else gets to pricy for just an axelback. I have my stock exhaust laying around so clearly if its too loud I can fix that quickly.

Seen a few vids but one video doesnt compare to everyday driving.

Thanks yall!

I just got headers on and an off road h and pulled my outlaws in favor of pypes violators.

Straight pipe is like 99.9 percent no go on any application. I was right where you are totally in love with them but forced to pull them off.

I feel ya on that. Gt 500s sound solid with o/r midpipe, but as you stated they may be too mellow. I haven't heard them in person

I have the flowmaster outlaw axel backs on my 14gt right now, all stock otherwise, I'm putting some cat delete pipes on tomorrow so I will let you know. I know removing the cats and resonators will be too loud but I am hoping deleting the cats will give a more desirable sound than deleting the resonators.

I had an Outlaw CB kit with American Racing long tubes and off road x. INSANELY, UGLY LOUD. Switched to MagnaFlow Street CB. Trust me, you will regret the Outlaws within 5 minutes. A rev-match downshift cracks like gunfire, and the drone... If you like the sound of driving in a swarm of pissed off bees, that is the kit you want. My race shop told me it was the loudest car they had ever heard. You could not even be in the room during dyno pulls.

Yeah mine is a daily driver too. The majority of my shifts are the modest 2-3k in town, stop-n-go, so I'm with you there. I think we are about on the same page with the desired sound, I'll do a before and after video to compare.

It is a common belief that long tubes are quieter than stock shorties...

Hey J,

On my previous 2012 Coyote, I ran the Flowmaster Outlaws paired with a JBA Off-Road H pipe and absolutely loved it!

It was definitely loud but kept a great tone. If you do not mind drone, I would recommend it in a heart beat! Drone is the only down-side and having a conversation while cruising on the highway was made almost impossible.

Hope this helps and let me know if you have any questions!

-Will

I have pypes cat deletes with and off-road xpipe sounds better (still searching for mufflers) even with stock mufflers but your check engine light will illuminate. I've had mine installed for 2 or 3 weeks and it just popped on. Still searching on here how to turn it off. Hope it helps some.

Hey man I wanted to report back on the cat deletes with the outlaws. So my muffler shop wouldn't remove the cats because it's illegal, so instead they took them off then hollowed them and cleared everything out of the center so it appeared to be street legal. Although it wasn't ideal at first, I'm happy with it for now until I can get the full exhaust set up I want. It sounds mean, louder and has a noticeable power burst. You might consider this, it was a lot cheaper than buying cat deletes.

So what are we done or what, I have my car on blocks waiting for the exchange. The least you can do is tell me that you no longer want to do the swap. I see you have the time to answer posts but not me.
