I'll suggest going to car meets/cruises to find the system for you. The computer does NOT do any justice to the sound.

Hey Charisma,

This is a hard question to answer without knowing what your plans for the car are.

For example, the Roush Axle-Backs sound absolutely great in stock form with no drone!

I had them on my previous 2012 and loved them! That is, until I went off-road.

As soon as I deleted the cats with the Roush axle-backs you lose the deep tone and come out with an extremely raspy tone. Therefore, for a cat-less setup I would not recommend them.

If you can provide me with some more details and future plans for your Mustang, I can get some more recommendations over to you!

-Will

How about the GT500 Axel Backs. I have those and love the sound, no drone too. I think I saw one of our advertisers selling them below 300.00, on sale. Maybe A.M or L.M.R. not sure...

Is it too much? Been getting lots of mixed reviews of this combo. I have the roush ab myself and am looking to go offroad.

I have Roush AB and couldn't be happier. I think off-road x pipe+Roush would be too loud. But that's personal preference. Roush is really good for least amount of drone

Not to hijack the thread but I have an 08 and just want sound. It's my wife's GT so I'm not to worried about power just sound. What do you guys recommend?

That was one I was considering she wants it loud like mine lol... It's not going to be her daily driver and the 4.6 is enough HP for her stock so I just want to do a nice aggressive axle back.

I was also considering the outlaws too. So either one would be a good choice?

Just be prepared for drone when using anything flowmaster. Other than that, the outlaws sound great so do the roush. I personally chose borla ataks but the roush is close to those in comparison of sound.

Sounds like those are the 3 to consider I'll see what I can get the best deal on. It's not going to be her daily driver and she wants it to sound loud but good.

Hey Dave,

What kind of sound is she after?

More of a deep tone or more of a loud/ aggressive tone?

It's always nice to have a significant other that's into Mustangs!

It makes you coming home with an empty wallet but more Mustang parts that much easier

My girlfriend has a 2007 GT that she installed Borla ATAK Axle-Back Exhaust on by herself with just a little direction and she absolutely loves them! She could not be happier.

I think they would be great for you and I can also hit you with a few more recommendations once I know what she's after.

Looking forward to hearing back!

-Will

She wants a deep tone but she wants people to know she's coming! It's very good with her having a Mustang too for sure! Ease of installation and no modification is definitely a plus.

I'd get anything besides roush or gt500's unless you want your car to sound identical to every other 5.0 out there. I'd recommend the borla attack or s type if your otherwise stock. If your doing off road pipes I'd suggest magnaflow competition or kooks which I personally have with long tubes. Car sounds amazing. No drone and very aggressive.

In that case I would probably stick with the Borla Atak's!

They are plenty loud when you want them to be, but they can still cruise quietly and provide zero drone! My girlfriend loves her exhaust and I do too!

Hope this helps!
