Identify this exhaust

I met a guy at a mustang meet yesterday and he said he had a single chamber MagnaFlow in place of the mufflers and the car sounded beautiful it had a nice deep rumble.

I'm actually going to revise my statement, not sure if they are flowmasters, def not magnaflow (magnaflows are also stainless so it would be strange that someone would paint them). Looks home made or muffler shop made, not like a kit.

These are single chamber no name brand mufflers on eBay. Look pretty similar. Not to say it couldn't be some flowmasters.

Those are Flowmaster Super 44s. And they sound pretty mean with the resonators cut out.

I take that back. They look too damn much like the original 40 series. And the 44s are much darker in person than that.

Lol maybe they are magnamasters, a hybrid magnaflow flowmaster. Clearly he had no idea what they were.

If you're such an exhaust pro then what are they? The 40s and the 44s are both about a foot long. Looks about a foot long to me. I hope you're not thinking it's the 10 series. Those are only like 6 inches long. And they look goofy as he'll in person...

You think that muffler is only 6 inches long? Maybe my phone is distorting the image,or something Cus that muffler looks,a lot closer to 12 inches long than 6 inches long...

A super 10 is not much bigger than our hand. Very small similar to the thinness of a glasspack. It's probably 10 ins if measured inlet to outlet. If it is in fact a flowmaster its not one I've seen, it could possibly be a Chinese copy. But it isn't a super series, all super series are black always have been...

Yeah this is def a knockoff not an actual flowmaster because mine was definitely black like u say. But it looks like a 10 design.

There is one way to always tell if a muffler is a real flowmaster. Where the muffler is welded together the name flowmaster is stamped on it like the numbers/letters on a license plate. The mufflers never have a sticker on them saying flowmaster. If it doesn't have the name stamped on then it isn't a flowmaster.
After putting these mufflers on daily for a long time you start to notice every little detail about them. Another thing is the Chinese copy's don't have the flowmaster sound and are made of a weaker metal compound. It will rust and fall apart a lot quicker than a real flowmaster will...

Just look at the patent number underneath it to see the type. It's probably a universal flowmaster muffler. Most likely 40s series.

When did this turn into a mid-pipe thread? I thought we were talking about and trying to identify mufflers? That Mac prochamber mid-pipe is absolutely NOT a muffler.

They look like the flowmaster 10 series 1 chambers or a knock off of them. I had them on my '99 gt and '99 lightning.

Very loud and aggressive sound and they have some serious drone. IMO the best option for as loud as you can get without sounding like a dump truck (muffler delete/loudmouths) but not for those who want a sometimes mellow tone.

Those definitely aren't home made. They look like garbage because you can see that they have been welded, cut, and re-welded.
