Buying my mustang GT today!!

For those of you that were helping me figure out what prices I should pay on the last thread I had thank you! I've found the car I'm going for up in D.C. And I've already got them on pricing and am flying up there this morning for it! It's a certified 2014 base GT, ingot silver, tech pack, and 7k miles. The price before tax is 23350. I'll post pictures once I have it

I bought my car from DC as well. Drove it home to St. Louis. I go where the deals are!

Nice man! Can't wait to see pics. That's a great deal! Just be careful, some of these dealers up here in the DC northern va area are shady. Make sure they don't try to add a bunch of hidden stuff. Other than that sounds like you made a great deal!

When I bought mine in DC, I was surprised by the cost of the "processing fee." Don't know if it was a hidden cost or not, but the dealer said it was a fixed rate in VA.

Yeah I live in va and saw lots of ads for cars that were really cheap. I told a dealer by my house and he pulled up the bin of the car they were selling. He actually showed me the computer monitor, the car was advertised 2k less than invoice. He was like they took out every rebate possible and did not add the delivery fees. I called that dealer and called them out on it and they admitted it was the higher price the dealer by my house said it actually would be. So I stayed away from that dealer. My bro in law always drives up there for his cars though. They do tend to have better deals, supply and demand I suppose.

Yeah I made sure multiple times that the price was the walkout one, and yeah they do have higher dealer fees compared to others I've seen ($600 there) but the low price on the car makes up for it. But the place is ourisman ford Lincoln Alexandria you can see it on their site.

Just saw in there it has a Barton short shifter I didn't know about, nice bonus there! The walk out at the dealer is actually 23500, didn't get the other $150 off. But since I'm buying out of state I'm gonna to tag and tax back in GA. So after that it's right about $25k.Click image for larger version

DC must be the place to buy because I drove up there and got my '14 GT toward the end of last year. They had the best deal for what I was looking for. Congratulations on the new ride.

Is it the one that is listed at $23,000 on their website? How come they gave you a higher before tax price?

The website is usually lower than the walk in price, not sure if that's the case. ..

The dealer fee wasn't included in the online price. That's why my walk out was higher. But yeah that is the one. And it drove like a dream, I'm ready to get modding!

In a former life, DC cars were probably rental cars

I don't think that it's a rental, they would not want to put in the Barton shifter. ..

^nope, and it would be on the carfax. I'm sure the guy who bought it thought it was a great idea until he had to sit in 1+ hours a day in traffic. The deals are up there because they flip them so fast. Turn and burn

The DC area dealers were very competitive last year when I bought my car. I couldn't get any of the outlying dealers in the surrounding states to even come close on pricing. Guess that's one advantage of living in a huge metropolitan area.
