Pypes axlebacks

A friend of mine at work says he is willing to sell me his 2013 gt Pypes axle backs for 100 bucks. I have a 14 gt. Do you think they are too loud? I don't want to piss off my neighbors.

What does his sound like?
Short answer. Yes.
But at least it's the sound of an American V8 and not a fart can civic.

Pypes axlebacks

Lol piss off your neighbors. You drive a mustang be proud of it. Just because it's loud doesn't mean its bad. If it's a civic that's bad but mustang exhaust is a good loud. I love letting my neighbors know that I'm home 😉

How are people getting away with no cats? Live in a state with no inspections? Purge the paperwork when you sell it that declares you didn't tamper with emissions control?
I'm stuck in a state where the motto is "Live free or die" , you don't even have to wear a seatbelt but heaven help you if your check engine light is on.

It is also against the law but most people don't care. I think you can also be fined $10,000 for not running cats. None of that is worth it to me to gain some additional HP. These cars are plenty fast in stock form for me.

Those Pypes are pretty much a resonator in place of a muffler design, so yes much louder. Personally I wouldn't use them, especially if you plan on getting off road H or X pipe later on....then your neighbors will be steamed!

Yeah I kinda agree I'm keeping cats in mine. Not worth the trouble and expense if caught. You can still have plenty of HP and run cats.

Most people aren't removing the cats for a power gain. They're removing them for the sound increase. Same with the resonators. Won't do S for power but it sounds better without them.

As far as emissions go all you have to do is bolt your cats back up when you go to emissions and take em back off when you pass emissions. Or just live in an area that emissions aren't required.

As far as the exhaust for sale. For $100 it's a steal. I'd say buy em and try em. If you don't like it then take them off and post them up here. Someone would jump on them for $100+ shipping. You wouldn't be out anything and

I'm not going through the hassle of removing and then reinstalling exhaust components just so I can have some additional sound or power plus I don't want to deal with the CEL because I no longer have the cats on.

We don't have emissions testing where I live but we do have inspections to get your tags renewed and you will fail the inspection if the cats are not in place.

Just get high flow cats you can pass with a off road pipe... and still keep the sound you want

There's a gt/cs that drives around where I live with pypes on them. It honestly sounds amazing, and for $100 you simply cannot not do it.
