Lowering spring install w/o impact wrench?

Before i start taking stuff apart to install my BMR lowering springs, does anyone know if this job is possible without an impact wrench?

Yes, I put springs on with regular ratchets and wrenches.

I did have to use a breaker bar for some of the bolts though.

It is. It's not as easy though. Sometimes the strut shaft will start to spin with the nut and you will have to put a wrench on the shaft in the opposite direction. Soooo much easier if you have an impact. I'd suggest borrowing one from a buddy if possible.

Appreciate the quick responses guys! Unfortunately i dont have access to an impact so looks like im going to stop and get a breaker bar just incase and see how it goes without those handy power tools lol

If the strut shaft starts spinning, make sure to put something around it to protect it before you grab it with something.

The other option for the strut is to use a craftsman max access external ratchet to tighten the nut, and a conventional internal ratchet to hold the hex head on the shaft of the strut.

Proving to my fellow racers that the disdain that some GT drivers have for V6 drivers is unfounded, one results archive at a time since 2013.

You should have a TORQUE WRENCH and make sure all is back to factory specs. That is very important to get it all tight. Ford recommends using new bolts on much of suspension.
