when I rev my car around 750-1krpms I can hear like a type of gear whine on the engine. I know it's not my transmission since its a manual and its on neutral when I can hear it. I plan on removing my outlaws and putting my stock axles back so I can hear it more... Since above the 1k I can't hear anything, because of the outlaws. Now tonight I went on a 25 minute drive and out of nowhere I could hear the noise again without me revving the engine. I don't think that's normal on the car. It sounds like a gear whine(I'm bad on describing noises)
Update on my car, I opened the hood when I noticed like a type of knocking on the left side of the engine. I've heard of the engine tick but about the nocking noise on the passenger side I don't know if that's normal. https://youtu.be/DlR53s1XEys

I plan on taking my car to the dealership to check that. When I drive my car I feel it normal, but I'm kind of worried it that will cause any other issues.
Please let me know. Had block replaced at 34k no problems just checked spark plugs found oil on back 2 cylinders. Turned out to be the blocks internal pvc failed. No smoke or noticeable oil lost. Was running great.

I couldn't see the video, says private. Have you had any more problems when they replaced those parts? I think I'm taking it this week so they can tell me what it is.
Only problem with repairs has been transmission which finally checked and upon tear down the shaft for 3-4 was frozen so new trans. Took two years of shift issues before replaced. Car improve driving better then new.

If you can hear a little of whine at idle. Remove drive belt and start car, not for long, rev alittle. If whine could be A/C comp. if passenger side. Other is internal maybe head cams or drives. But removing belt will eliminate the drive pulley system, two wheels, the water pump, and alternator. All these whine when wearing out.
Good luck

Check your engine seiral number with ford. Early 302 had a plate lh lower front engine that caused the noise. Found on ford Web site. If your engine has the replacement cover to lower left front cover is a sign of the change. If two piece plate ford had reoccurring whine noise from old design. Early 2012 engines before June built. Check seiro number on ford Web then parts search front engine plate lower left. If one piece then should be no whine.
Famine the first 302 ran at least 1500 miles on track weekend. Then engine had alittle oil on plugs. Fail air pollution system. Engine runs strong. Upgraded by Saleen and put 405hp and 397tq at rear wheels. Alittle better then Boss 302 with Saleen handling. So it put to test every time.
