Barton shifter defected?

i got the barton with the post 2 bracket installed it the other day and it didnt go into 1st or 2nd gear but it did go into rest of the gears, i doubled checked everything and it was all good, anyone ever experienced this?

Sorry to tell you this either the shift ball isn't seated right when installed or you have a defective unit. Call Barton they are quite helpful even if you got it from a different suppliers

just what would the shift ball have to do with his issue???? but I agree, call Dave and Barton and he'll get you squared away

The cap that you take off the old shift ball and place on the new one. Not seated or installed will cause miss alignment

I had an issue when I did not get the rubber shifter boot wrapped around the shifter properly. I took everything apart pulled the boot up and seated it properly and I was able to shift into all gears.
