Hows everyone's Traction

(13 GT 6spd) I dont know if the cold weather has a thing to do with it or if its the Tires(continentals) but this damn car just spins to much. My SRT8 charger would spin but it would hook quick and boogie. This common? Any tire recs? Thanks

Cold always makes it harder to hook. Don't know much about tires but I'm sure there is something better out there for ya

Cold weather + stock suspension (if that's what you have) + pure summer tires + hard rubber = spin city.

I'm running 225/60/17 Michelin x ice 3 atm, needless to say I smoke em each time i go on the road lol

I spin from 1st to 2nd, 2nd to 3rd, and sometimes 3rd is a struggle getting traction. Like Bazinga said this cold weather plus those Summer tires means we are not going anywhere. I am for sure upgrading to a 10in or 10.5 in rim in the back. 8/8.5in just isn't good enough in these cars. And I hate the stock Pirelli's

Colder air equals more power and less traction.

My tires definitely don't agree with the roads lately. It's been raining for days and is gonna keep raining thanks to another cold front.

My 235 Pirelli's are a joke, not sure if it's a combination of being 18 months on the car + cold pavement but they spin as hard in 2nd as they do in first (I have an A6).

Might be the 4500 feet in altitude, but I have no problems with traction, cold or warm.

Mine is great! I hope in two months I will be able to start driving it on the streets again.

My experience is this car is too powerful for the stock suspension/tire setup. The default remedies for tire spin are bigger/better rubber (summer tires when it's over 60degrees, all season when colder) and control arms.

If you have summer tires no good under 50 degrees get a set of good all season it will help. But don't expect too much.

Cooper Zeon 2 on my 427R terrible for traction on an unprep street in a dig. Roll or dig on prep road does excellent...
