Thanks for the response!

Babies won't be happening for awhile. I'm in no rush, and my girl doesn't want any before 30.

If I had only put 10% away in even the bank back when I was your age, I would be a retired millionaire back when I was in my 40s.

Which to buy? GT or GT500.

What is the average wait time on building a GT500?

I think I might have read like 2 months start to finish.

The GT500 is no longer being built. Hasn't been for about a year now.

I'm putting 65% away right now... I realized a while ago it will make a far bigger difference in the future

I hope you're diversifying that money. (not just all in to "stocks").

Specifically, I would invest a decent portion in to real estate (and/or real estate mutual funds) then a little bit in to gold as a hedge. IF there is another bubble pop, P/E ratios & indexes drop again, etc... but real estate & gold are REAL. Real values that rarely depreciate much and generally only appreciate.

Investing is a "Fluid" market. As for real estate, I'm not sure if it's any better than investing in a new car.
Yes, Gold is a safe haven..................if you got in when gold was $32/oz.
What works for some people doesn't for others.

It is always good to invest in gold VS. the stock market. When stock market tanks, gold goes up.

Right now, MANY major analysts have fairly large positions in gold. That should tell you something. I believe they're all hedging against the possible glut of stocks as aging baby boomers are LEGALLY required to cash out portions of their 401k's annually, meanwhile Gen X,Y,Z whatever kids are working ****ty jobs with no 401k's to buy up that glut. (over) supply vs. demand...

You don't need to cash out you 401k all at once...........I know, I'm there.
I guess maybe if the market takes a huge dump.......maybe. Where has gold gone in the past 5 years. If you had bought it in 2015 for $1154...........today it's worth $1148.........doesn't seem like it has done much in 5 years. Not a lot of people (unless you are wealthy) can by 32/64oz of gold today just to have it sit collecting dust for the next 5 years..........IMHO

I realize this. But, assuming a GT500 is yet to come and based on previous GT500 models, approximately how long does it take from order to driving out of the dealership for GT500 production.

I said "PORTIONS" (only about 4%) of it, not saying all at once & a crash. Just saying they're going to be lower demand caused by all of the cashing out over the next 10-15 years. And there's likely to be a little downside, some corrections, maybe a small bubble burst especially considering we've been bumping up against historical highs.

Haven't been a big fan of Roush since 2004... I do however love the wheels.

Personally I would wait for the GT350 that's coming out. If I could have waiting longer to get a new stang that's what I would be getting.
