2014 GT Performance Pack Rims

Are the 19s new with tires and no miles with $800? Also, which tire for these are better, pirelli or Goodyear?

In a rush, I'll be back in a bit.

So...no responses...

Are the Performance Pack rims with tires worth it for $800? Also, they are supposed to be OEM, offered with Pirellis or Goodyear's, and I'm not sure what the consensus is. I like my Pirellis, but I don't know what the Goodyear's are, yet.

Any info would be great, this is all the info I have.

The Brembo Track Pack wheels? Generally 800, OEM tire is Pirelli, summer 255 tires.

Yep Track Pack came with Pirelli summer. There are no Performance Pack 14s that would be 15. Yes 800 is a fair price for wheels and tires.

That's what I noticed looking at the 14 brochure- he is working on 15s and maybe 16s, so I imagine that is the slip up.

Alright...these are my options! I really like one and two, but I like four for some reason...I like the design of three, but not without the matte/flat finish- like on one.

Help me out guys!

The good years were offered on the Brembo package on the 14. They considered it a "summer tire", that's what I got on mine here in south Florida. They are actually pretty good tires from what I've seen.

What do you guys think? I am torn between one and two. I really like one as a rim, but think two will look better.

Thank you Dino!!!! Ugh, I am thinking the matte finish more and more. I LIKE these better, but I think the matte will look better. Anyone have an image of them? Would love to see a black profile lol

No prob. I saw some of my rims painted matte black. Looks so bad. I was thinking about doing it until I saw the pix. The factory track pack ones are nice on a black car. Off sets the all black a little bit. That's me thou.

These are nice too for factory

I've got a 14 TrakPak, and factory tires on my car were Pirelli P Zero's................and they are junk in my opinion. Although they were too small in the rear with 255's, even 275's just have no traction.
I like both the #1 and I've always like the TrakPak 19" with the OE dark stainless.

I didn't realize you had a V6 and were strictly looking for MPG.
I would think the they should be fine then.
I have never driven them in snow but in rain at higher speeds they are probably less stable than the Goodyears. I'm just not a fan of Pirelli tires.

Michelin, then Goodyear, then Pirelli. Aka, Pirelli= trash.

I'll second the Michelin's, that's what I have now. Goodyear and Pirelli are about the same in my book...........I wouldn't pay to put either on my car or truck.

I think #1 looks best. 19x8.5

But #2 is wider @ 19x9 = better IMO b/c of that.

I excluded #3 & #4 from the competition b/c I think both of those are 18" wheels.

If # 3 was 19" I'd like it too.

Beware that number two is a hefty wheel, thirty pounds without tire is pretty heavy. They are exceptionally sturdy though, and look great.

When I took mine off I was thinking of widening them to 11" in the rear and when I weighed them bare they came out to 27.5lbs, but that was on a shipping scale so it could have been off. A little of the heavy side for racing (most guys are using 18" to race), but great for the street and putting 275's/285's on.
Just didn't want to pay $400 a wheel to have them widened and would have added a fair amount of weight.

I only mention weight since he is looking for fuel economy, and a heavy wheel is not exactly going to be helpful for that. They are great street wheels though.

I think the last Goodyears I bought were for my 97 Cobra when I switched from stocker 16" rims to 17"Cobra R rims.
I had some OE Goodyears on my Dodge Hemi 1500 and they were noisy and ruff riding, then changed to Michelin and no more noise and great ride.............but they were expensive at $325 a piece. The next tire for the Mustang will be Michelin.

Hmm...I wish I knew the weight of mine. Weight is a double edged sword. Momentum isn't always a bad thing, but starting up with more weight is an issue. Hmm. I am concerned, especially because these tires will actually have a smaller circumference than my current set :/

I appreciate people who read my posts and add information based on what I say. Not that there are people here being annoying or rude, rather often the forums attract that- just saying thank you.

19x9in brembo package (2nd) weight ~30-~31 lbs

19x8.5in Cali Special weight ~31lbs

18x8.5in Pony Package/MCA (which I believe is the 3rd one) ~26lbs

These weights are wheels alone not with tires. I'm not sure of the others you have posted, but I threw in the Cali special weight because I like how that wheel looks lol.

You have the GT wheels? And hope this helps a tad

I just put on #1 rims on my car and like these the best. I don't like the brembo wheels at all. My second choice would be #4 rims.

I do, 2013 base GT rims and tires. I kind of wish I had researched exact information about these first, and made a decision based on data VS desire. My favorite option (2) are the heaviest and have a smaller tire circumference than my current setup. But they look so right on the car :/

Like my CAI, I may be sacrificing some MPG for desire/ a deal. :/

What size wheels and tires do you have on the car now.
The stock TrakPak 19's have a circumference of 84.92" and section width of 10.04" with 255/40/19. You could always switch tires and go with a 255/50/19 with a circumference of 94.38" and the section width would still be the same at 10.04". The only drawback which may effect fitment is the diameter would be about 3" more...............just a thought.

This is the change. I was doing this to get new tires cheap...the rims are just icing on the cake.
