Camaro SS Brembo Brakes

I've been wondering.. Will the Camaro's Brembo brakes (front and rear) fit on a 2013-2014 GT? Also, is it possible to fit 18's wheels with them on?

The fronts probably would but don't quote me on that. I'd love to get a set of rears and try it out though

The fronts look identical to the Mustang Brembo's (I have a Camaro V6 with the SS Brembo's on them). The rears might fit but it will be up to the spacing on the caliper bolts. There are 18" wheels that will fit on the Camaro but they have some good backspacing on them, might stick out on the Mustang.

Don't really think the Mustang needs brembo's on the rear except for looks, my fully loaded Mustang 5.0 weighs almost 100 lbs less than my stripped down 1LT Camaro V6. The Camaro is a pig that needs big brakes.

If I have to take apart the rear knuck on my Camaro soon I can do a test fit. Might have damaged my wheel hub from hopping at the track.

It would be solely for looks! Haha, I love the look of big breaks in the front and back. But definitely let me know if they will fit, when you take apart your Camaro. Would be highly appreciated!

I dunno, the rear brake size is radically different between the two cars. The Mustang has 11.8 inch rears and Camaro SS has 14.3 which suggests the caliper bracket on the Mustang would likely put the caliper in the wrong place, even if it bolted up. The rear brakes are also a different type, using a single piston with attachments at the far ends of the cali, so, I don't think that'll work, just visually. Based upon my takeapart of the rears last week, I'd have to say no way.

You are also bound to freak the **** out of the ABS, TC and advancetrack, which is a lot of hassle for "looks".

As has been stated, BBP front is all that's really needed on the road for a Mustang weight car. Really need something bigger, you might have better luck with GT500 stuff but, I haven't researched that as to fit in any way, same as this.

Camaro SS Brembo Brakes

GT500 brakes will fit on the GTs and V6s. But you have to run at least a 19 ideally since they are 15" 6 pot. There is a kit on AM

Personally wouldn't go 6 pot up front if I already had 4 pot. Pad choices at this time are slim and expensive and the additional unsprung weight isn't helpful either. Add the wheel fitment challenges and it starts to look like a zero-sum game. If looks are the deal, like the op says, the back brakes need the help over the fronts.

I like the relatively plentiful and inexpensive good quality pad choices of the 11-14 BBP setup.

Here's a functional rear upgrade but, it still uses the charmingly unsophisticated single piston caliper so definitely function over looks:

S197 Mustang 13.8" GT500 Rear Brake Upgrade Kit - Vorshlag LLC

Baer makes a wicked kit for a demonically high price:

Baer Brakes Mustang Rear Disc Brake Kit 14" Pro Plus 2005-2012

Oh yeah and to add to the hassles fitting the Camaro brakes, the E brake isn't likely to work anymore either....

What would be even better than more braking power.... Less weight. That will mean less force needed to stop and less power needed to accelerate. Kill 2 birds with one stone (more like 3 if you count cornering also)

Do you know if the 07-14 GT500 Brembo Brakes will fit a 13-14 GT?

07-12 GT500 brakes are the 14" 4 pot like normal Brembos on 11+ GTs. It's the 13-14 that are the 15"

Thought the 13-14 Brembos were 14" and the 2015 are 15"

Read...it's the 13-14 gt500 he's referring to. They are 15 inch 6 pots.

My TrakPak has 4 pots, and even the GT500 only has a single pot with 13.8" rotors in the rear. The calipers on the 13/14 GT are the same as the GT500. All you need is this adapter to move the calipers up to fit the 13.8" GT500 rotors and you are in business and you don't even need to remove the axles....

Then just buy some EBC rotors, or pay $92ea. for Ford OE rotors and you've got 14" rotors in front and 13.8" out back.

2013-2014 GT500 = 15" 6 pot
2015 GT (Brembo) = 15" 6 pot

You can see a pattern, GT500 gets them first and then the GT as an option.

I have been thinking about the brake upgrade also, since I already have the 20 inch wheels the stock brake setup looks so small! I hope to find a used set off a 2013-14 GT500 but, also looked at the complete set from AM.

If you were to buy the front Brembo 15" kit, then buy 13.8" rear rotors and just get the adapters I posted a link earlier you can use you stock rear calipers. The GT rear calipers are the same as the GT500. I just purchased the rear 13.8" upgrade for $315.
If you purchase the upgrade use posted you will have to pull the axles on your rear end to installed the caliper brackest.
I've seen Brembo 15" GT500 brakes go used for $700. You might contact Shelby American in Las Vegas as they sell them regularly used.
