as you might be bake to see there is a glossy piece of plastic that looks like its plugging a drilled hole. Is this stock or something the previous owner made?

Looks like a Garmon GPS plastic mount plate. Held on by double sided tape. Should lift off.

That's what it is, my previous 11 GT had one. Thanks to the previous owner. I carefully removed it with heat and it still left a nasty looking area.
Don't do this to your Mustangs guys. You can treat it, clean it, buff it and it will forever look like *****.

Yeah, especially when you can suction cup it to the windshield 8" away with a million and one GPS mounts that can be had for cheap on the web.

Pro-Clip works perfect-No holes & No problem

I put my Garmin GPS on with the Pro-clip.

I just leave it plugged in all the time, I turn it off unless I'm using it. Even though the receptical on the dash stays hot even with the key off, My Garmin 55LMT uses no power when it is turned off and plugged in. The led is always on but they tell me it would take a thousand years for that to wear down a car battery.
I really like this and I'm with you guys about not sticking the disc to my dash.
Ronnie

Yes, it's best to leave those gps attachment discs alone but I guess you could put a mustang sticker on it or something to make it look a little better.
