mods _emmissions_warranty

looking to start spending for some parts I want
boss intake manifold
bbk throttle body 85mm
full exhaust with high flow cats and [h pipe
cai
koni shock
ebach lowering springs
rear control arm set up

wonder if this would fail emissions cause the wonderfuk state of illinios requires me to go for , also car has 16000 miles on it looking to get the warranty for as long as possible , wondering if I use all ford racing parts, or just buy a roush charger and have ford install if warranty would still be in effect. also looking for parts that wont fail emmissions ,
car is my dd

As far as emissions go since your considering "high flows" you should be fine. Having the dealer install your Roush will keep your warranty however that's after the hefty price tag you'll pay for the install.
By the way nice Hometown! 👍

I live in the suburbs of Chicago, all they do is plug in their scanner to your obd port and if everything reads "ready" you're good to go. No smog test, people run catless systems all the time out here.

Dub, that is correct however in order to run "cat less" o2 sensors are turned off with a tune to avoid CEL. In result test will not show "ready".
Without the tune the CEL will fail the test as well.
I run an off-road exhaust however not worried. I just swap my pipe out and drop my tune come emissions time.

@ Stang U,
You have 2 options:
1- buy an axle back of your choice so you can hear your car. Then thru years of depression buy everything you want and stare at it until your "warranty" is up.
2- Grow a pair! Start modding, slap on a good tune and enjoy the car you bought! Lol

I suggest starting with suspension. Adjustable Uca, Lca,s w/relo brackets, adjustable panhard bar, Shocks/Struts and a set of springs.
I went with BMR for all my components and have Strange struts with Viking dbl adjustable shocks. It's a sweet setup. No complaints!

Are you just listing random mods? cai supercharger? or boss intake with bbk throttle body?

Pretty big difference.

A catback will never require a tune unless you change the midpipe to an off road at the same time

I'm in the same boat as you as im looking to mod but don't want to tune or anything else that will void my warranty. And the general consensus seems to be that any significant gains will require a tune. I'm focusing on my suspension and appearance mods first to get a little more out of my warranty before modding.

Half the mods you listed require a tune, which void the powertrain warranty.

Yep SK is right almost all of the mods you want require a tune to get the most out of them and it def voids your warranty. There are certain aftermarket warranties that it doesn't void but they come with a pretty price tag attached to them.
