Glove box

I hardly ever use my glove box for anything but the other day I opened it looking for something. It doesn't seem to open very much, never has since I owned the car. Not that it's that big of a deal or anything but I was just wondering if it's how they are or should I take it out and see why it's not opening more then what it is. I took a couple pics to show it's opening.

Mine opens more than that. Take everything out maybe something is keeping it from opening all the way

That's as far as it opens with nothing in it also. I've reached my hand underneath and around it the best I could and I don't feel anything hanging it up. If I can ever remember about it when I'm not at work or driving I'll try to take it out. Just don't want to break something taking it out if it has to open more so it can be taken out. I've tried applying a little pressure to open it more without forcing it so much that it'll break. But once it gets to that spot it's pretty much set on staying there and not opening any further.

There's a little compartment on/around locking tab.. Take everything out, something is holding up that door. My guess would be your owners manual booklet

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. Since it was on my mind I remembered to check it out before I left work. It ended up being the side panel on the console not letting it open all the way. The last clip wasn't pushed in all the way for some reason and it stuck out just enough to catch the glove box but not very noticeable. Lesson learned, check it during the daytime where I can see and not just lean across from the driver side lol.

Owner's manual more than likely. It's in a leatherette folder and slots into two slots. If you aren't familiar with the set-up, it might take you a couple minutes to figure out how it works....the logic is simple...the practicality of the design sucks....not user friendly at all. Good luck.

That's unfortunate.

Was hoping you would find a fat stack of cash in there keeping it stuck.
