Cat deletes with J bungs?

Will this setup with the STOCK tune 1. Be successful in preventing the CEL and 2. Cause harm to the engine in anyway? I've heard that an affect of a catless setup with no aftermarket tune is running rich. I'm trying to save money by not buying a tune. Any input is appreciated! Thank you! 2012 GT, 63K miles

Why would you wanna cheap out and risk causing damage to a your car? If you're on a budget right now just get the tune first and then off-road mid pipe later.

Just get a tune. It will be the best money you have spent on your car, and you won't have to worry about messing anything up.

What's the safest tune around for a stock 5.0? I'm worried about longevity and quality.

Steeda if your budgeting. They work with Ford, and will help if anything ever goes wrong, although they have never had anything go wrong, they are the 1st company to get the new MY Mustangs and start work on tuning. Never had any engine problems.

Bama has.

I personally have a lund tune on my DD for about 15,000 miles and have had zero problems and noticed a huge difference over stock.

Lund/AED tune for manual
Mike Rousch tune for auto.
If you're worried about longevity and taking care of your car then don't run a catless midpipe without a tune.
Running a quality tune is just as safe, if not safer than the stock tune.
