Steeda MT82 Transmission mount bushing insert

Well I went to order a WHITELINE trans insert for my car on AM and saw that Steeda has one now. It's a "pre-order" on AM's site but I went ahead and went for it as I'm a die hard Steeda fan and I don't mind waiting.

Looks pretty similar to the WHITELINE bushing. Anyone have one of these already? Or maybe TJ can chime in on the differences? Either way I will for sure review it as soon as I get it.

what do you expect man? it's a piece designed to stiffen an area, of course it's going to have about the same level of NVH if not more, wouldn't be effective if it add NVH

What is the stiffness of the material used? Is it the same as whitelines, softer, harder?

Hello Famine,

The main difference is that the Steeda Transmission Mount Bushing Insert is made in the USA.

I can't speak to the other product but our durometer of our bushing is 70 - this helps to minimize NVH while still providing increased performance.

We tested several different durometers and we found the durometer of 70 combined with how snug ours fills the void provides the best shifting performance.

Relax, not everything has to add NVH. No need to get butthurt. This piece can be made to not cause any NVH

Well I ended up canceling the order from AM and ordering it from Steeda since I got an email saying 3-4 weeks. So I should have this by next week. I am hoping it is a little better on NVH then people have said the WHITELINE is. If I know Steeda, they try hard to excel where others may say it's not necessary.

Easy way to tell is to find the stiffness of both products. I'm willing to bet they're the same.

And I'm done. It's pretty easy, worst part is just getting the car jacked up. It was a little hard to push in, but it eventually went. Big channel locks like the video showed are a must.

Alright guys, drove the car this morning and wanted to let you know how it felt, as well as address NVH.

I already have the FRPP shifter with 2 post bracket, which I feel is pretty hard to improve on. People say this shifter which is the same as the Barton is loud, I don't think it's loud but yes you do get a small amount of trans noise. With all that said, WOW.

This bushing just adds that little extra touch to really tighten it up. It's so crisp, and I found that gears are just that much easier to find.

Now let's talk about any added NVH, umm I notice nothing new. If I didn't know it was in there, I'd have just thought wow my trans feels better.

I 100% recommend this to anyone. It's easy to install and for the price based on what it does for the car, it's a no brainer.

looks like an exact "COPY" of whiteline. Surprised they don't or didn't have a patent on it..

It does look similar but their are some differences in the shape and size of the cut outs. It must not be exactly the same as it didn't seem to ad the NVH that some of the people with the WHITELINE bushing have complained about.

We prefer to design, engine & manufacture our own parts!

And ... it is even better when Steeda parts are:

I think it's also worth mentioning that I have noticed that I'm not getting locked out of second like I used to.

Before this was installed, I would start my car in the morning, warm up a little then drive maybe 1/10 a mile before stopping at a stop sign. Then I would take a left. During this left turn I would always go to hit second and I'd say 80% of the time the car would say nope not gonna happen. So I'd just take it to third after getting locked out. I have not had this problem since. I would also randomly experience this on a downshift while turning. Have not had it happen once since having this installed. Very happy!!
