Brandon's 2013 gt build

Since everyone else is doing it, I figure id start my own thread to show my build progress, for others and myself. To start, I have a 2013 mustang gt premium in ruby red metallic. It is not a daily driver, just my fun project car. I'd like to get out to the track at least once a month when available (I live in Chicago, so the car sits for a few months in winter) I plan on doing majority of the work in my garage off jackstands. The only times someone else will work on my car is when I get gears for the car, and when it comes to the point where my car needs a cage. This is my 3rd mustang, I hope to keep it till I can't drive no more!

So far I have installed...

MBRP's race series catback exhaust-I love the tone of this, install was a breeze off jackstands because i lowered the axle, panhard bar, and sway bar. Took a few hours while taking my time and having a few beer breaks.

JLT oil Separator-install took me about 2 min, very simple. Not much else to say, I got it because I'm thinking long term for the car

J&M rear lower control arms- very good quality welds, steel, and bushings. Haven't heard any rear end noises like others have claimed. Majority of Wheel hop is eliminated. The grease is a nightmare, but its good stuff! I will be adding a grease fitting in the future. only regret is they don't make a upper control arm with the bracket (as far as I know) so I'll have to mix brands when installing the upper. Should have went with BMR just for this.

I have also gotten a modern billet shift knob, side scoops, window louvers, and plasti dipped the hood vents (only because I am good with a can and heard the decals aren't a perfect fit).

I plan on getting the BMR upper control arm with mount, 4.10 gears (yes I'll be running a 28" tall tire), long tube headers, x pipe, one piece aluminum driveshaft, swarr rear support, 15x10 wheels with slicks for the track, sway bar relocation bracket, roush phase 3 supercharger kit. Will be using a bama tune until I get the supercharger.

Anyone feel free to jump in and make suggestions, there's a lot of really smart people on this forum that I would gladly take advice from!

Looking sharp bud. I like the ruby red, and I'm not a fan of red. Look forward to seeing your progress.

Grilles came in as well as my MMD decklid panel. I got time to put the decklid panel on, gunna start ripping the bumper off for the grilles tomorrow. Also attached some other random photos of the mbrp catback, painted louvers, shift knob, and the day I got the car 3 weeks ago, covered in snow. Some pix are from snapchat...

What's the plan on your fog lights? Just deleting them?

Just put the upper billet grille on from AM, looks great! Will get pictures up tomorrow, but install took about 30 min. I was able to do it without removing the front bumper, just ripped the grille out with a hard tug and then just had to remove the honeycomb and screw on the new one. Fitment took a bit of tweaking with the tabs, still isn't perfect but it's not really noticeable. Gunna carve out the honeycomb for the bottom since it's an overlay. Going to eventually go with roush lower delete

Looks very nice. I believe we have the same grille. Billet Industries from AM? I'm digging the color.

Wasn't bad at all, I cut it into two pieces at the door line and just used soapy water before I put it on, used tape to get the lines where I wanted them, and the vinyl was good quality from 3m.

Just ordered my gt500 spoiler! Then I'll be pretty much done with visuals on the car, other than maybe a chin spoiler in the future. Also decided to change my build a little bit. I don't need the power of the supercharger all the time, so I'll be going with the nx wet plate nitrous system paired with a cj intake, e85 tune, and 3.55 gears on 28" slicks. 4th gear can go about 135mph at 7500 rpm I believe according to the ratio calculator.

Question... With this set up will 47# injectors be enough (also planning on running boost a pump) or should I go higher

It's on, looks perfect. I'll take some pics later. Yea **** that tape holding it on, my god. I had some floss upstairs so I used that, helped quite a bit. I think the mint flavor is what did the trick...

With the bolts off on my 05 I could lift the back end up by pulling on that stock spoiler. The tape they use is no joke lol

I think I'm going to use Lund for e85, lobgtubes, off road x, etc then when I get the cj intake and 150 shot I'll most likely get in contact with aed.
