Satellite antenna for shaker 500 swap

I am looking for a stallite radio antenna that will connect directly to the shaker 500 port.

For the ones who made the upgrade from basic radio to shaker 500, where did you get your antenna ?
thanks

You can buy the stock trunk wart for about $30 and the connector wiring from Ford, too.

That said, you'll have to drill a hole in your trunk lid to install it and I'm on my 3rd one now, including the OEM one.

I understand that you have a satellite antenna on your car, would it be possible to check if the connector is the same type that the one needed to connect it to the head unit directly ? Here is a picture of the head unit back end and the connector for the satellite radio (black circled)

That's the one. Having replaced a couple of these antennas and checked continuity at the HU when one failed, that's the connector it has.

Is the factory antenna harness is a direct plug in ?

From the electrical shop manual, it shows tha antenna harness being connected to a splitter, this splittter is then connected to the main harness, which ends up connecting to the head unit.

What I try to confirm here, is if the antenna harness itself is a direct plug in (the antenna harness end which typically connect to the splitter) ?

thanks for your patience

There's the Sat radio and the GPS...I expect that is what the splitter is for

Nope, splitter is there for gps/satellite antenna and the standard am/fm one. Gps/satellite antenna is the same unit.

My question stands still, is the satellite antenna harness connector a direct fit to the head unit back end connector ?

My answer from earlier stands as well. That looks like the receiver plug , the same as the one on the harness side, that the antenna plugs into on the trunk lid.

I'll verify today, as I have an antenna around here loose.

I think I missinterpret your answer first hand, I tought your were confirming that the head unit connector for the satellite antenna was the one that i shown on the picture. Now, I believe you meant that the antenna harness connector has the right connector, based, on the connector shown of the picture. If you could just confirm me this by looking at one antenna you might have on hand, I will then order an antenna diectly at the dealership.
thanks for your time and patience. Sorry again, I did not get it right the first time

Ok, I pulled it from my junk pile. The connection on the antenna looks exactly like the one in the photo.
