Shifter bracket for 6 speed manual

I have a 2011 Mustang GT 5.0L with 6 speed manual transmission.
The shifting from 2 to 3, 3 to 4, 4 to 5 is kind of sloppy (missing the gears sometimes if I shift fast.
Went to the AM web site and found replacement shifter brackets since I was told that replacing the stock bracket would help the "sloppy feel" shifting. Looked at the Barton Shifter bracket for $64.99, the Barton 2 post shifter bracket for $104.99 and the Steeda shifter bracket for $79.99 with 2 bushings included ( the black one for racing, the red one for street driving) the black one is a harder durometer then the red one. Since I'm not going to race or drag, I thought the red one would be fine if I go with the Steeda. I picked the Steeda because the 2 choices in bushings. Also, I can keep my stock shifter too.
Any comments/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Your choice is fine if you are sticking with stock. I use the red bushing in racing applications all the time and ther are no issues. There is little to no NVH problems with it on red but black is noticeably louder and more vibey.

I also have a modern billet knob, whiteline bushing insert, MGW shifter arm bushing. All of these helped the shifter a bit at a time and were cheap.

Thank you for your quick reply. I think I'm going to use the red bushing myself. I never did any installation like this before. Other then having a lift, any installation issues should I be aware of or would I be better off having my mechanic who takes care of my other sedan do the installation ??

I installed my MGW on jack stands and that wasn't too bad. I'm sure you can do it. It's just two bolts for the bushing. Spray it with wd40. That should make it easier

You may find it pretty tight in there. I needed to gently file a little off one edge of the bracket to get it slide up the drive shaft and onto the studs. Alternatively you could loosen the crossmember bolts a touch

hopefully, like it did, you wont like it so much that you say to yourself....self, I should have just got the Barton w/bracket. I dont drag race my car either but love to drive and the red and or black bushing made a diff but not enough to really enjoy shifting.

It was recommended to me to just buy the bracket and see if this helps alone. Apparently most people are happy with just the red bracket.

It didn't do enough for me. Still have the uneven feel into 2nd. I know its still cold in the mornings but I'm thinking I should have just shelled out the $$ and got the MGW full package.
