They are a bit recessed but that's how I installed them. If I had a chance to do it over I'd have put a bit more adhesive so they would sit a bit more flush. I was afraid if I put too much and had to press it down it might squeeze out. Once you put it in with the adhesive there is no pulling it out. That would make a huge mess.

I am anal about her but I'm cool with how these sit. With everything you always look back and realize how you could have done it differently. But silver horse even says in the installation instructions that it's really personal pref where they sit. If you look at a 67-68 fastback with similar style louvers they don't sit perfectly flush either. Like I said, if I knew what I know now, I might have added a bit more adhesive. But the louvers are curved a bit front to back. So what you find when you install them is that in order to ensure the middle is seated properly the front and back will be a bit recessed (if that makes sense). The arc of them is not perfect to the car. At least my set wasn't.

I think they look fine . As long as they look the same way on both sides that's all that matters

I feel the same.. I wanna like them but the ones I've seen in person just don't look right. I've yet to find a style that fits our cars

Ive got the MRT ones on mine and they work really well on the white mustangs. It really sets of the car and gives it more of that old school vibe.

Here are some that I had on my phone. The top right corner is supposed to be flush but haven't gotten around to fixing that clip back down.

Got a pic from the powder Coater today. They look killer. He said they seriously pop in the sun. Now we wait for FedEx

Oh and here is a pic of my new dash I picked up on eBay. Maybe you saw the thread where I was trying to identify it, but if you didn't apparently this is the 401A dash. They shipped these to me by mistake (I had just ordered the regular silver ones) but I am so glad I got this set instead. I'd never seen it in person. It's very unique and I love the design and the finish. Pictures are hard to see.

Yeah, I could see that. I kinda like the flashiness in small doses. For now this pacified my need to spruce up the interior. Haha

Well I have been cramming as many mods as I can into the last month or so before I move to California. I will fly there and have to wait for my car to be shipped out. Then, even once I have it I won't have any of my tools for god knows how long until I sell my house in VA and get a new one to have my stuff shipped out to me. So it will have to do. 😢

You could even bring some of the other weird Californians with you. Not sure how far it is from Fresno to Seaside.

Anything new??? I've been slacking on my ME reading- it was causing me too much data on my phone at work and I get distracted at home. Thought you'd have all kinds of things for me to catch up on!
