Not yet. I'm sure I am eventually but I'm not drilling the holes myself so it'll be something I do when I have time to leave it at a shop, which I really hate doing. Don't like anyone touching my vehicles but me. lol

I do plan on finishing my leather swap tomorrow or monday. We're suppose to be getting rain the next couple days so that's the perfect time for something like that. I don't have a shop/garage but my carport is just big enough I can remove the seat without getting wet.

Man you should be able to tackle this in your own. Quite frankly no one else is going to take the care you will to do it. Doesn't look hard at all.

Well, I did a spoiler swap on my other ride a while back. Very similar spoiler. Went from this style..

to this style..

And on the side pieces I screwed it up pretty good. You can't tell now, but it's not pretty under there. I'm not takin any chances on this car.

Ha, I wish I could. Way too far for me.

I work on vehicles for a living, but body work is something I don't have much experience with. I don't mind experimenting, just not on this car. Too new and shiny for all that. lol

Oxford5pointoh build thread

Well a few updates here guys. I purchased the Steeda ultimate rear sway bar from a member here (cold silence, thanks bud) along with a Steeda adjustable front sway bar. I haven't done the front yet, I think I am going to order the upgraded end links from Steeda before I install it. Here is the rear though.

I can feel a difference after this swap. Plus it looks sexy as hell.

I also decided to order the BMR LCA relo brackets from AM (103.00 shipped with Mevo discount, thanks am). As some of you know I have stayed true to Steeda throughout my suspension build. But I decided against ordering the Steeda relos because they require the car to be on an alignment rack then welded. I do own a 220 legit welder, and know how to weld however I don't have an alignment rack. BMR is bolt on. So I got them in the mail today

I also vinyl wrapped the faux gurney flap on my GT500 spoiler. I like the look of it black. Just finished it off a little better.

My replacement SHR flush mount louvers should be here tomorrow! Not sure I will have time to put them on for a week or so though πŸ˜•

Yeah I was thinking about doing that. I probably won't go crazy on them, maybe just a few 1" beads. I just like that these bolt in the correct spot without having to worry about alignment.

Did your GT500 spoiler come with the gurney flap? I got mine from AM and I don't think mine came with one. Is it possible to add it the to one from AM?

It's a prepainted one from AM. The gurney flap on those is fake. He simply wrapped it black to make it seem like there is one, and give it some contrast.

I personally got mine from Cjponyparts because they leave the fake gurney matte black instead of color matching it with the rest of the spoiler.

Looks great per usual. It looks good vinyl'd black. Car feels stiffer with the sway?

Thanks man.

Yeah the sway really tightened it up more than it was with everything else I had already installed. The car is a cornering monster now. I mean 100 mph around banked corners with warning signs advising you to do 40 😳 same corners I would take my old x-runner at about 85-90 before it felt sketchy. Mustang just eats it up. And before all the suspension mods, I didn't like taking same turns in the mustang any faster than 80-85. It's just really fun to drive now.

Ahhhh I hear that. It can get sketchy around turns at high speeds, even with suspension modifications. Something about the car to me feels a little unsafe, it's probably just me and my nerves/old age lol. Tires are obviously huge as well. Glad you're having a helluva time with it.

I want to do all this but I don't want to lower it while in Colorado Springs. Unexpected snow is what annoys me. Then I know I would have trouble pulling into my driveway.

I have a conservative drop of 1" with my Steeda sport springs. I haven't had issues yet.

I did 😬. It was an awesome truck. I miss it a lot. I ran it up to 155k before I got the stang. Had it murdered out, lowered, man I should have kept it.

Yeah it was a great truck. I liked the blue also (speedway blue) but I really had my heart set on black (black sand pearl). It was beautiful black and in the sun it had an awesome pearl that made it pop, almost sparkle. Sounds weird but it was awesome. I searched high and low to find it, black is the hardest to find, they are always red, sometimes blue, rarely black (only 3 colors from 05-09). I ended up buying it on eBay believe it or not, never test drove it. Had it shipped from Texas to virginia. Was an 07 with 40k on it back in 2010. Never had a single issue with it. The coolest thing about them is that they are so few and far between. Most people don't even know what they are. I was the only one in at least a 75 mile radius with one. Even the Toyota dealership in my town was baffled by it (everyone here wants a 4wd huntin truck). It turned heads everywhere it went.

Subaru had a color like that obsidian black pearl I believe, it was black with gold flake. Only thing bad is Subaru is notorious for crappy, thin paint lol.

Lmao. I need a solid 4-6 hours so I can do it how I want without rushing. As bad as I want them on, I will wait until it makes sense. Sadly I have family visiting the next 4 days then am out of town for work a few days, then next sat I am helping another coyote owner drop his car. So I will have to get that time carved out.
