So i'm thinking lca's are my next mod. I see you went with steeda, which are who I think I'm going with, why did you go with the billets over the cheaper arms? Is there any real difference other than looks?

As for straight line acceleration, does the car hook noticeably better with the new suspension?

They are sexy as hell, but light as snot. Why did I go with them over the cheaper ones? Mainly for looks. But I'm very happy with them.

Hook? Hell yeah. It's a different car.

If you want that gone, get the UCA as well. It'll pretty much eliminate it. Then you'll need better tires to hook lol. I can't wait to get back to the strip this year after my next round of mods goes on.

Yeah i wanna see if i can get away with just lca's first. If the hop is still there I'll do uppers as well.

Friday was actually my first time running. I've watched plenty just never ran. Can't wait to go back. Only got two runs in, it was packed.

Just for reference there's only one upper, hence the 3 link. It'll most likely still be there, but hey good for you, get some seat time in and learn as you go. I've got a track about an hour away and I've ran my car about 12 times now. I've ran pretty much every car I've owned. What was the best time out of the 2? These cars are a bit difficult to achieve good times on the crap tires, especially manuals.

lol yeah i'm used to my old 2v car. 2 uppers.

i ran a 13.4x coming off the line extremely soft with no spin what so ever. had the a/c on too lol (accident), and waiting in line for 15 mins with the car idling.

I have an auto so it's not too bad for me. The other run I tried to stall it up a bit and spun/hopped my way to a 13.8x lol. Those runs were with axle back only. Did o/r x and tune today and can't wait to see what it will do now but i know traction will be an issue.

Also just thought i'd add this, i got spanked by a 4.0 stang on that 13.4 run. Ever hear of a shelby terlingua? I damn sure hadn't. Supercharged 4.0 v6, he ran a 12.7x with a passenger.

What do they look like? Also how many inches did you lower you car? I want to lower mine but my area kinda sucks when it decides to snow. I'm working on getting a POS truck for those days.

It's hard to see in a picture on my actual car, but they are very noticeable through the wheel and in the wheel well. They really stand out and look awesome.

13.4 isn't awful. I ran a 13 flat 6spd, UCA, LCA's, axle back, STOCK TIRES lol. I couldn't quite figure out the best launching technique. I now have some nice Toyo's, and I'll be installing a one piece drive shaft soon. Shooting for at least 12.8's.

Nice. I never was very good at launching my old 5 spd. My 60ft on the 13.4 run was like 2.4 so I know there's room for improvement there. I really would like some better tires I just can't justify buying new ones when my current ones have plenty left.

Yeah it's a tough thing to master. I've actually found keeping TC on helps. My best was a 2.0xx for 60ft, which isn't fantastic. I'm hoping the new, wider (275's) tires paired with the driveshaft and differential bushing can net me a 1.9xx and put me in the 12's. I was dead set on new wheels because I couldn't stand the stock wheels/tires. They're sitting in my basement with about 6k on them lol

I'm hoping I can pull a 2.0 60ft next time. I'm on 275s so it's better than stock but still not great, still Pirelli. I wanted to try tc on as well but didnt get enough runs. I'm not sure it would help me at all being auto.

You should def be able to hit 12s with that combo.

Yeah, Pirelli's aren't the best for the track no matter the configuration. I doubt my toyo proxes are going to be phenomenal but they're going to be better than what I ran on originally. And I'm hoping so on 12's because car and driver ran 12's with it bone stock, and I'm far from that lol.

Oh of course, probably just being too hard on myself lol. I've dragged a bunch of different cars, so I'm not a novice and I expect better from myself.

Will a non carbon fiber gurney flap like this fit our spoiler from AM?

It might if it simply sticks on top. But I'm going to say no because it says it fits OEM.

The OEM spoiler has a gurney flap that you can move/adjust.

The gt500 style spoilers are all one piece painted.

Alright I was able to work on my silver horse racing flush mount window louvers today. I'm really pleased with how they turned out.

Nice. I loved mine until someone damaged them. I have a new set that will go to the paint shop when I get back.

They are expensive and a pain in the *** to install compared to any other louver but well worth the end result. Thanks for the compliments!

Yeah I hope no one try's to mess with mine. I remember when you found out some one tried to steal yours and cracked one.

I'm ordering mine tomorrow. Had some things get in the way, otherwise I would have ordered them a week and a half ago.

Good deal man. Waiting for them sucks. But hopefully he gets them out to you in about 3-4 weeks. Both sets he did for me took about that long. He said the process takes that long because they can't cut and buff them until they have fully cured and so they don't get damaged in shipping. Only way you will get them faster is if he has already painted a set. It will be cool to see how yours turn out.

Only way you will get them faster is if he has already painted a set. It will be cool to see how yours turn out.

Yeah, that's what I was expecting. Going to the local Ford dealer to get the repaint soon anyway, and I'll be out of town for a week, so it works out. I'll get the repaint here while I'll be on a missions trip in atlanta.

Hoe long would it take paint to cure from a repaint? It'll probably be the 3rd week in july, and the AM show is on August 15th... I know the dealer will have it painted by the time I'm back from my trip, but I'm worried about prints and stuff

The car should be fine pretty quickly. It's going to be "soft" for a week maybe two. But you won't have any issues with it. I think the biggest issue is just the shipping of these things. Usually paint is completely hardened in 2 weeks. The owner told me if he doesn't wait they always get messed up by the packaging. Which is amazing because they cover them in felt and bubble wrap.
