Thumbs down Need advice on Lemans stripes

I have a Black 14 GT Premium and want to add LeMans stripes, but I can't decide on the color of the stripes. I'll admit that I have poor taste and don't trust myself on what I want but I know what I like when I see it if that makes sense. I am tired of the black/red combos that I see all over. All suggestions or pictures are appreciated. I gave Chip a call but no callback as of yet. LOL

Please don't tell me about other color cars and combos.
Thanks

Someone on here did blue on their Black GT and it looked terrific.
I think it may have been on a thread about GT500 twin pipe mufflers.

I'm getting the gunmetal metallic on my black 2014. It shows up way more than matte black but isn't way to light like silver or white. Big worm graphix.

Someone posted this pic in the V6 thread.
I think red or blue would look pretty cool and definitely different.

What do you guys think of these stripes?

How to: Determine the size of stripe i. e. (10" x 2"=20"), Determine the size of pin i. e. (1-1/2" x 2=3"). You need a minimum distance of 1" from each tail light. (20"+3"+2"+= 25"). Measure the distance between the tail lights, then subtract (25"). Now that you know the available space, you can decide how far apart the stripes can be.

Flat stripes are a PIA and need to be taped to keep detail and wax off. Vinyl stripes are OK for a temporary 2 year mod but for long term, painted screams show quality, ANY color possible, and way easier to care for with no peeling, fading, wrinkling, coming loose, or wax problems. Painted stripes accent the ride and pop when waxed to beautiful shine. The way to go. IMO

My vote would to go with matte black or silver. My 98 GT is Tungston Gray with Black striping, so you can see what it would appear as in reverse.

As already suggested, get grabber blue or gotta have it green stripes!

I was going to get lemans stripes but then went with a different style. The green really looks good on a black car. I've also seen the grabber blue on black on a car around town and that also looks awesome.

Here is reference of green on black.

Neither the blue or green light my dial. There are some around here and I don't really care for them. Anyone else? I would go with the flat black but I had them before and the got shi**y looking after wax getting on them no matter how careful I was but I never tried masking them before waxing them as has been suggested on the forums a few times

Plus flat black on black paint barely shows up. Have Big Worm graphix send you a free sample of their gunmetal metallic by 3M. It's darker, has some metallic in it and I think really looks mean on black but still classy and not boy racer.

Thanks for mentioning the samples. I just shot them a request. I haven't been able to settle on a color, I think this will help

Go with great tradition. Think of a classic black Shelby with gold stripes. You can't go wrong with that combo. Black on black looks too plain because you can hardly see them. The wild colors like grabber and GHIG make it all about the stripes and not the car. Good luck on your choice. BigWorm did both of mine.

They sent me a few samples that were decent size for free and it helped me decide a lot easier. I'll be ordering mine in a few weeks.
I have to do little stages...a few hundred dollars a month at a time on mods. I'm definitely having them installed at the body shop though, I know I would mess it up.

I shot him a request and he replied in under an hour to say he would ship them today. Pretty cool. I've been having a hard time figuring out the color I might want if at all and so I requested prob 10 different ones

I'd go GHIG with the black personally. I was thinking of doing some GHIG accents on my Oxford white GT at some point.
