Roof racks

Does anybody know of a roof rack for our cars? I have to start taking my bike down to campus and I really don't want to get something that rests on the trunk. Plus I think it could look unique!

I'm pretty sure Yakima makes one that will fit.

This is about a guy who put one on his Mustang;

I went on their site and I guess there's two options for racks. One is significantly more expensive and I still can't see why...

Just give them a call and see why.
I've bought Yakima bicycle hitch racks for my car and truck and usually spent around $350 to $400 for their better one. I would doubt you find one much cheaper and Yakima has a great product.

Ya that's what I've been thinking. I'll give them a call tomorrow and see how much it will all come out to. Looks like I have to buy a lot of extra locks and rods in order to make the kit work.

The other is more expensive because it includes rails that extend the length between the racks.

This is what I use on my cars. It works really well and I can put it on whatever car I want without worry of scratches or damage.

Ironically no, but I can take a couple for you this weekend when I load everything up for this weekend's ride.

We moved from CO to GA this past August and I had three bikes mounted to my wife's Honda and didn't have a single problem with the system. That move was about 1600 miles and three days of being on the car. Also used the rack when driving from CO to AZ with two bikes on top. No issues then either.

I wouldn't do that i think it wouldn't look good, just put down the rear seats(pull the grey straps) and put it in

OP's bike isn't gonna fit back there without a good bit of disassembly, and bike racks and meant for functionality anyway.

I've thought about a roof rack before. But for a set of track tires instead.
