Gt500 axleback

My first mod on my 2014 mustang 5.0 were the GT500 axle-backs. At first I wasn't sold on them because I felt they weren't loud enough. They were just a deeper stock set up to me. After a few weeks I've found myself really liking them but still wanting more. I'm considering buying the borla s type axleback but not sure if it's worth the money. Has anyone had these two axle-backs and if so what would you do? Are the borlas deeper than the gt500's?

What about changing the midpipe or a resonator delete?

I have an Off Road X pipe on mine with the GT500 axle back mufflers and to me its still not super deep even with the X pipe and no cats, ive also thought about looking at the borla axle backs, been looking at youtube there are quite a few systems that sound really good to me but for the little bit more sound you get I don't know if its really worth the money changing them out right now.

With Gt500 axlebacks it should be a requirement to delete the resonators. Night and day difference. I had the s types. I'd take my resonator deleted GT500 axlebacks over the Borlas I had any day. Actually if I could do it again I would have left my resonators on the car slapped some ROUSH axlebacks on there and called it a day.

I went the other way. I originally had the Roush AB with resonators on my car and while it sounded very good, after awhile it would get on my nerves in around town driving. I was also starting to get some drone at around 2,000 rpms.

I finally got the GT500 AB and was happier. Not as loud but loud enough for me. I then bought a set of GT500 OTA pipes with no resonators and now I have the sound I want. Loud when I want it to be and quiet when I don't.
