Boss Mani 1/4 mile

I have an A6 5.0 with k&n drop, BMR LCA, BMR PANHARD bar, BMR radiator support, O/R x pipe, resonator delete, muffler delete (recently put stock mufflers back on) and worn nitto 18' 555r's Lund Tuned I run 12.1 to 12.2 pretty consistent I want to go 11s. Will the boss mani help me or should I go aluminum drive shaft or do full exhaust. I know I need a converter and the car will be on nitrous one day just aiming for 11s now. Looking for opinions on how I can get there soon

The Boss Intake will hurt you without a converter.

I gained a little with the Boss intake, but if you want 11's do a converter, mid 11's probably for you.

How about a tune? If you get a boss manifold you'll need one anyways

I'm not particularly familiar with the functionality of the torque converter but why would the lack of an aftermarket one hurt you after installing the boss manifold on an auto?

Probably wouldn't allow you to utilize the upper rpms. I believe when it was explained to me it somewhat acts as a clutch on autos.. Who knows if that is true

The stock stall revs to where the Boss Intake doesn't want to be. In the lower rpm's which is where the stock intake shines. It's about matching the right parts to make a combo work.

Alum Drive shaft. Worth every penny. I have a CF drive shaft and pick up a tenth and kept smoking the tires so prob 2 tenths with traction

It's weird, everyone out there seem to say they help, and now they don't. Pretty soon there will be no mods left that do anything lol. I would get one. Shaftmasters.

If they weren't so expensive it would be one thing. But there are better things you can spend your money on.

How much of an issue is it with the 2 piece shaft coming apart at high speed? And yeah they are way too goddamn much money but aluminum is kinda pricey these days compared to $160 FRPP driveshafts back in 2002 lol.

Mine never saw over 150 with me in the car.

But made countless pulls at 178+ on the dyno when it had 3.31's

Supposedly they help out with the clunk that these cars have In the driveline. I'm gonna get one anyway. I've heard too many good things about them.

1. Times slips don't lie...
2. Your an idiot for making a statement like that.

By the way It's a DSS drive shaft for those that asked.

Boss Mani 1/4 mile

Every pound does help. Probably won't feel a difference initially, but if you do more weight reduction it can make a difference over time.

Or you could just add power.

The big thing is its rotational mass. With raptors thinking (money aside) you could throw 24's on a car with no ill effects. Same logic.
Lighter wheels, driveshaft, brakes, valves, everything all make a difference. You disagree, go argue with crotch rocket manufacturers because they're wasting their time too.

If it's about money, there is probably no need to really be in a newer vehicle doing mods as it may not make financial sense, but when does it ever really?

Well all you guys keep thinking what you do. Thats why you will always be #2.

Talk to people who have done it. Never noticed acceleration only reason I swapped is bc of the power the car was pushing.

So many of you have stuff burned into your heads off what other people say, and that's all you believe. Vs actually trying something yourself.
