Mid-Length Vs. Long Tubes

I have an opportunity to get a set of Mid-Length headers with and off road X-pipe. Why would I want this over a Long Tube & X-pipe option? I don't know very much about Mid-Length headers.

I'm not sure what size they are. My question is, why would I get the Kooks mid-length instead of the Kooks long tubes?

I got my kooks 1 7/8 mid lengths because i still wanted to use my lethal catless H-pipe. I didnt want an X, and didnt like any of the LT H-pipe options. For me it was pretty straight forward.
You may give up a little hp to a long tube set up, but may gain a little more tq in the process. I do believe the Kooks make damn good power, i also believe a good long tube set up may make more, but the kooks are cheaper and i dont think the LT are "enough better" to justify the price. I believe a good set of Shorties will outperform a cheap set of long tubes. Just my opinion and thought process though.

Kooks doesn't make a longtube header for these cars. Just shorty and mid length.

Probably a stupid question but I'll ask anyways. I was looking at the kooks headers online. There's only a $20 difference between the 1 7/8 and the 1 3/4. What are the reasons you would get one size over the other?
