Ready to buy an axle back exhaust, any suggestions?

Im looking for a axle back exhaust for my 2011 GT. I would like 1 that sounds really good at startup and sounds good when you really put you foot down while not being to ridiculous like those stupid exhaust systems to people put on there Honda civics. Any suggestion is appreciated.
Thanks

I installed Bola Ataks this morning. Sounds great at idle and roars when you jump on it. Couldn't be happier. Highly recommend.

I guess the OP would have to make that call. It's all subjective.

Roush, as long as you keep everything else stock. Look at the other brands recommended also but keep in mind that those brands are also what you find on Civics and Evo. Look at their websites and what they like to show you they make exhausts for. Then listen to a lot of tube videos with good headphones. Make sure the video description says JUST axle backs and not resonator delete, cat delete etc, to get an idea of what just the brand axle back sounds like.

I have magnaflow street series and they sound great but they're not as loud as I wish they were.

I have a set of Kooks axlebacks and they fit what I was looking for. Nice deep muscle car sound without the drone. Everyone will make suggestions but you have to just listed to a ton of clips over and over to find the set you like the most.

Borla Touring. They're quiet initially but after a while they'll be a bit louder than stock. Maybe it's the 3" cat back lol. The axle backs only may be too quiet. I came down the road in 2nd gear, just wound up a little and my kid asked if the delivery truck was in the driveway. Yet if I leave early morning, I can sneak off in 2nd-3rd gear and let the neighbors sleep
I still wonder how magnaflow streets would sound though. If all you're changing is the muffler, mag streets or Borla S type would be my vote.

Well about every exhaust system has been mentioned now. So I'm sure that helps. Lol. Like a few have said, listen to sound clips. Everyone here has done that and there for loves their particular choice. These threads only really work when you have narrowed it down and asked specific questions. Good luck on your search

I previously have posted by mistake that Roush drone and they do not. I based that on not knowing I had Roush AB with resonator delete also.
Now I have just Roush AB and I kinda think they're too quiet. I want my drone back.
It's worth the sound of nascar.

And you can seriously hear it a mile away (at least)at WOT

My borla ataks don't drone and I have resonator delete and after cat x pipe. They're similar in volume to roush. Different tone slightly though

I love my MRT KR axle back. YouTube for a sound clip. Barely anyone has them as well if you're looking to be a bit different. Slight drone at 1900, other than that, I wouldn't trade em.

Thanks for the link Robb! I love the Borla touring sound but the 4.5" rolled tips are...meh. Spin tech has 4" double wall tips like kooks and magnaflow! Nice! Just hope I can make them fit.

Cool!
They will give you any muffler you want too.
3000 Series, 6000 Series, or my favorite 9000 Series.
Give a listen on youtube.

Thanks for your post I have been researching axle backs for months and have narrowed the search to Ford Racing GT 500's and Borla Atak's I am going to order the Borla's today - a little pricey but so what!

Can I ask why you said "roush, as long as everything is stock"

Just curious of reasoning. I noticed a few of you guys have said same thing.

Roush sounds the best, alone. Go deleting the resonators and cats and they sound like garbage. Imo

I'll be pairing an off-road x-pipe with my Roush's tomorrow morning. We'll see if it really is as bad as people say. I've heard some sound clips and I think it sounds great personally.

It's all personal preference. 9/10 mustang enthusiasts love that deep, throaty, traditional sound. I personally like the raspy, screaming, death-like sound myself lol.
