Rear spring rubber perch

Just read something and now I'm curious if I installed correctly. I have the rubber perches on top of the spring but not on the bottom. Are there supposed to be two on each side where the spring contacts the axle and frame? If so would that explain my harsh rear end maybe? Lol I placed both rubber perches on top when reinstalling the springs

Rear spring rubber perch

Apparently the perches have a specific way they are supposed to fit on the springs. Like a raised edge. I didn't adhere to that. Could that cause a more noisy rear during bumps? I can see how considering the rubber is very flimsy

Who's springs did you install and did they have instructions.
There should be a rubber insulator on the top and bottom of each rear spring.
The bottom rear spring fits into a pocket, just like the front struts did.
You are going to have to take them out and reinstall them correctly.

Take a look at this installation;

S197 Mustang Lowering Spring Installation

In the rear, I'm not sure if there is a pocket like the front struts, but make sure you can read the markings on the rear spring, the writing should be facing the rear.
