Noob question about Bama tune

What's the tires revs setting? And how safe can I up my rev limit on a stock 14 gt manual transmission with 3.55s? Thanks.

There's no need to up the limiter unless u have the boss or CJ intakes. You will lose more power if you do.

3.55 gears on stock tires will be fine on stock limiter. You'll cross the line near the top of 4th.

The reason raising the limiter is useless with stock manifold is that the 5.0 coyote motor with the stock 5.0 manifold will start losing power after 6600rpm. By 7000 it will have dropped from its peak at 6600 to about 15-20 less whp and by 7600 it will have decreased by almost 30-40whp. So you're going slower because you have less power.

The only time you want to increase the limiter without changing up the intake manifold is if you are making some serious power and it's causing you to have to shift into 5th gear before you cross the line. Then increasing it would work because then you can still shift at 6600-6800 but can hold 4th gear longer to 7000-7200 and cross the line.

But this serious amount of power is probably by nitrous or forced induction and if you're staying with the stock manifold you will probably be better off installing taller gears like 3.31 or getting taller tires than increasing your limiter.

Ok so what's the difference between the "tire revs" setting and the normal rev limiter. Bc on the x4 this is two different settings.

I typically suggest leaving it set where Bama has it as if you're going to raise it it's not really going to make any more power that high!

Tire Revs is where you would be adjusting for a new wheel and tire size (say you make the jump to a 305 in the rear, you would have that adjusted there.
