Cobra Jet Intake Kit...It's on!

I wanted to give a special thanks to Alex at AM for his superb deal and customer service. He is one of the best I've seen in helping customers' cars look better and go faster.

Also shout out to Paul and Justin at Bama tuning. These guy's were extremely helpful in helping me sort out a couple of my install issues. Car picked up some ponies for sure with no torque loss that I can feel versus stock IM. The big oval throttle body idles and drives stock until you mash the throttle down. New times coming soon.

Looks awesome bro! I put the big oval on my Shelby and still haven't gotten to data log or test it hard. I do know breaking loose in 3rd at 45 on a dry road is a little scary lol.

For me, lower pulley (10%) and then SC swap. There are several things I have to do that will not add power tho. Upgrade heat exchanger, one piece drive shaft, and then swap the blower. It's all bigger money items. I got new leather for the door panels but want them put on right. I'm by no means an upholstery man lol.

Throttle body swaps do quite a bit for those shelbys. Was it a monoblade one?

Those cars are wicked with a gear swap. I drove a pure stock on and then he put in 3.73s. Good God that thing was a complete different animal.
I don't know about 4.10s, kind of iffy. Being boosted cars and all, need to stay in the powerband. Or I'm just crazy, and what I've been told was a lie.

Lol. With the 3.15's third gear is a monster (for only n/a power) now. Really like the fact it only has to make 2 total shifts through quarter without falling on its face top of third. I will see where Im at against stock c7 soon. Think it will be close up to 115-120 mph. After that, the vette should pull away.

Will be running on the 22nd T&T. This track is 1500 elevation and does not produce the hero sea level times that everyone posts unfortunately. My buddy will bring his brand new 15 Scat Pack 8 speed auto down. Those are low to mid 12's stock at sea level tracks.

Got to finally drive (raining past week) this mid pipe CJ pkg around yesterday. Car just turned 5k miles. What a great upgrade for an auto car. It feels considerably faster without creating a bunch of dreaded wheel spin on the street. It hooks on the Nero's and goes! Im not looking to set any records nor blow 5-6 grand plus on motor parts. This all said and done was 1/4 the cost of supercharger if you shop around. Very nice option for the n/a guys especially auto's. For the track junkies a simple 5c converter and slicks would be mid 11's all day in full weight car. But, then it would never hook again on street tire. Not bad.

Yes I finally did. Didn't get to remote dyno tune with aed like I wanted, but the street tuning feels plenty nice. Anyone that thinks it's not worth the money is out of their mind. I went with the Monoblade of course and cleaned up the inside as many others have in the past. A note for others, aed claims to avoid the jlt intake vs the frpp as they have a difference in 10whp on numerous cars between the two and also make sure your injectors are fully seated during install and adjust the spacers if needed.

Now I just need to figure out whether to keep the 331s or go with the 373s that are sitting there staring at me in my garage.

I installed mine but it wasn't working properly. After 3 months of fighting with Bama it turned out to be it was a bad connection on one of the wiring harness, one of the pins was not going all the way in. Now the Stang is back and boy oh boy. It's amazing how easy it shreds the tires. It even gave the Borlas new life, amazingly it sounds even better now.

For sure go with the 373. If you keep the 331 you'll hit the CJ redline going like 75-80mph depending on your tire size. It's too long a gear.

I had the Boss and 3.31 and 305/35/20 tires and then went 3.73. There's no going back its night and day. Where before each gear just went on and on and on but now it zips thru the gears and I could still top out in second at 67-68mph and 9x in 3rd and 122 in 4th. Perfect for quarter mile setup in my power level.
