Wanting to tune with CAI

Is it that much more worth the cost to install a cold air intake with a bama tune? I just want to keep the stock box intake.

I just want to tune to make car much more quicker because stock is absolutely horrible.

Correction on title *without CAI

I'd just do the tune unless you're trying to make the engine compartment look nice. The stock system is a CAI. If you plan on doing more engine upgrades then a aftermarket CAI will help a bit, but won't be noticeable.

Tune is fine. Nothing wrong with a CAI, either to help the flow of air just don't expect higher numbers with one. It's fine if you plan on going with a Boss or CJ intake as you will want more air than the stock box, IMO. But you can always just use a drop-in for better flow, stock.

Bama V2 is worth it and then some, personally. You will love it. Race tune 24/7, btw. You will be fine.

I found a great local deal on Craigslist for a Steeda cold air ......so why not? I'm happy with mine regardless. Sounds great when you mash the gas too.

Yes I'm tuned, many bolt ons and E85.

totally agree, I have the Airaid (love the look and sounds awesome) and agree I didn't gain anything noticeable and around town my intake air temp is higher.

The gains with a different air intake range from 4-9hp. Far from a change in the "butt dyno" and, in my opinion, not worth the $200-$300 you could put into a cat delete which would yield 15-25hp gain in addition to the tune's gains.
