at a stop with your foot on the brake hold down the traction control button for about 10 seconds then proceed with your burnout

Have you turned your car off and waited a bit before turning it back on? My lights came on once after slamming on the brakes to see how well they worked. They stayed on the whole drive. I stopped somewhere, turned the car off for ~20 mins, turned the car back on and everything was back to normal.

unplug battery, let it sit for 10 minutes or so. How did you managed to do burnouts? Is yours tuned?

I bet if you played around with the throttle and brakes enough you could get something. I've lain a little rubber myself on accident messing around.

You can swing by auto parts store and have them connect canbus scan tool. They should be able to clear the codes. Once you have tuner you can do this yourself. Or buy 25 dollar pocket scan device.

Not sure if other auto parts stores differ, but when I worked at autozone all we could do was scan CEL codes, nothing else.

Get yourself an OBD2 Bluetooth scanner on Amazon for 25 bucks and use an app called Torque on your phone (free). Scan and clear all day. Seriously. Get the BT OBD2 device. They are cheap and work for any OBD2 car. So much utility for 25 bucks.

That Torque app (at least the good one) isn't free but is only $5.00. Also it can only be used on Droid phones. But it works very well including the ability to monitor your emission monitors.

The bluetooth device is only $10 on ebay.

Make sure you don't have any crusty rubber on your rear quarters or bumper

I think that whole foot on the brake and not revving past 2k only applies to auto v6's. There would be a ton of pissed of GT owners if that was the case...I could be wrong though. lol

If you put a Line-loc kit on you'll be able to do a great burnout even with the stock tune.

Lol i honestly dont know if i want to trade, i like the auto but also craving the manual. Last year i had a pick up as my daily it was manual and i had a 2007 mustang auto, whenever i got tired of the manual i drove the mustang, and i did get tired sometimes with traffic and when I drove the auto it felt like a relief but now i wont have that back up if i trade lol
