2015 challenger scat pack

I want to drive one. I really want to know what it can do. I like it, hope it can do good. Hopefully it can be the challenger T/A successor.

A good buddy is bringing his brand new 15 Scat Pack 8 speed auto down next week. Car stickered for 48k. Pretty solid low to mid twelves stock in good air at sea level tracks. We both will be going to the track on the 22nd. I figure we will be very close through the 1/8 mile with me pulling on back half. Very nice redesign in 15 on interior. I get to drive it.

I friend of mine had a regular Challenger R/T and they are very comfy with lots room inside. Of course, it was not equipped with the scat pack, but overall I liked it.

the Challengers are great looking cars, but they are over weight pigs, can't expect too much out of them

They need a new/better platform for the car, and a serious diet. Do that use the hellcat then I'll be happy.

I love the challengers. It's just, it's time they get their own platform. And the weight is too much, it needs to be close to its competitors. I know they can do better, and I really want them to. I wish they would be more competitive against the other muscle cars.

One of my buddies had a 13 RT and traded it for a 14 GT. Man I loved that Challenger his Mustang was ok. He had very tasteful appearance mods on both but he traded the 14 GT for a 370Z. I be more approving of the trade if it was a Nismo, but that's gone too.

I wouldn't mind having a newer Challenger. It would have to a manual though.

A friend of mine nearly bought a 14 SRT8, but the dealership tried to screw him. So he went and got a premium 10 GT. It's nice, I love the grabber blue.

Even at 4200 lb curb weight the Scat auto's are no joke on the street. I know most of you like to fantasize about 1/4 mile track cars All the time. In the real world they are actually faster than stock 11-15 GT's by a fair amount. There is no tuning out yet for the 15 up 392's. My buddy is pissed that I went cobra jet because my prior tuned midpipe car would have been extremely close to what his does bone stock. I will get some video of Mexico and track. I need a gopro! Lol.

The 392 Hemi in general is no joke. And the 376 Hemi is definitely no joke.

The 392 makes almost 100 foot pds more torque than the 5.0.

Drove a few. In and out of corners it isn't much of a challenge. Tho to be far it isn't built to be that kind of car.

So no reason to be "scared". Long straight always... It's good. Turn the road, it's gonna get destroyed. I'm speaking as in if you or I were racing ourselves

We should start an exhaust thread for the Challenger.

Any of the others could use could use an after market exhaust, except the hellcat. I stood behind a Hellcat and had the factory rep rev it a few times. My nuts shriveled. I don't think you can do anything to improve the exhaust on it.

I agree it's the best sounding stock exhaust system I've heard.

I sat in one at the last S.F. auto show. Comfortable, I agree, but I don't remember it being any roomier than my '14 Mustang. Of the three Ponies, I believe the Mustang still has the best visibility, especially to the rear.

I would buy one in a heartbeat. I love the look. While I have not driven a new Scat Pack, I did recently drive a 2012 SRT with an automatic and it felt pretty strong. It had about 26,000 miles on it. It really didn't feel that much stronger than my base model automatic 14 GT but it was a nice ride. I really don't care how they do in the curves or if they are faster/slower than a Mustang GT, I just love the look and styling. I will own one some day.
