11 GT DYNO

Local speed shop had a dyno day yesterday. Best pull was 425/374, pretty happy with those numbers now to see what it will do at the track!

Solid numbers. Don't tell (some people) you had a aftermarket throttle body or they may laugh at you. Paperweight etc. lol.

Without before and after numbers for the throttle body it's just a guess how much power it actually gained.

But I could care less about dyno numbers. When someone bests my 11.2 N/A pass we'll talk.

When are you swapping out drive shafts and throttle bodies?

Some think they know it all and loves to pi$$ in others corn flakes.

Nice numbers for the few mods you have.

I didn't say worthless. Not worth the cost though

So going to the track this weekend or next and wondering, what RPM's should I be launching at. I have heard the Torsen diff does not hold up well to hard launches, also never been to the track before and do not want to end up on a YouTube video smashing into the wall. Was thinking take it easy for the first time and get a feel for things, but any suggestions would be appreciated

Start out at 2000 then increase a few hundred each pass.

Driveshafts do more than just numbers.

I know some people are all about the 1/4 timeslips. But not everyone uses that 12 second yard stick to measure their egos. There are other measuring sticks.... driveability, braking distance & fade, handle turns, suspension, lateral G's, lap times on a road course, etc..

A lightweight driveshaft will give some improvement in 1/4 mile times. (most show .1 to .2 seconds)

Having less rotation mass makes things easier to sync for the clutch, etc. Less weight to spin the tires, IF that's what you want to do. Its a driveability thing that you have to experience to feel it. They're kind of expensive, but at a 20 lb weight savings (x 4 if you apply the rotation mass counts 4x's a much formula) it can help you all around. And when people are buying K-members at $500 to save 18 lbs the price doesn't look too bad after all. Or $200 for a 10 lb weight savings for a radiator support, etc..
