Different recall. A Ford recall for heat or something that could affect the fuel lines I think. This is an NTHSA recall.

I wouldn'y hold your breath on that one. 33.8 million? Even if your car is on that recall list don't expect it to ever get fixed.

Not all Mustangs need a recall

Go to:
https://vinrcl.safercar.gov/vin/

Put on your VIN # and see if you have one that needs to re replaced.
I put mine in and it is OK. Not to be recalled. Ford used airbags from both manufactures and I guess I got lucky.

Air bags

I just took my wife's crv to the Honda dealer for this same thing.an hour and a half and that was it. Wear your seat belts and you won't have any problems.if mines on the list I'll get it addressed, is it really that traumatic?
Ain't like #8 piston got smoked!
You guys sound like my wife when she got a notice for jury duty.
Come on they're gonna fix it and 99% were never going to have a problem any way

Checked mine, recall doesn't affect it, or the site hasn't updated

Got a recall notice via Carfax. Calling my dealer to get in line. I'm also due for an oil change.

Ford is not releasing all the VINs until July 13th, according to Edmunds. I went ahead and pulled my airbag fuse anyway. Seems like a convenient reason to replace the seats and steering wheel...

What's the fuse number? Will pulling the fuse disable anything else or cause any other problems or alarms/indicators in the car?

thanks,
Dan

In the 2014, you can remove fuse 31 (Restraints Control Module) from the Smart Junction Box (right hand lower kick panel). If you turn the ignition on, the air bag indicator will remain lit once you've removed the correct fuse. Otherwise, you didn't remove the correct fuse. However, I am not sure if I'd recommend doing this, as it will also get rid of the seat belt pretensioners and the fuel pump shut-off.

I just checked my 14 GT and nothing yet so far. I also checked my fiancee's 07 GT and her's does show a recall for the air bags.

I texted one of the ppl from the dealership that my car has a recall on the driver side airbag and she answered "That's just an advance notice, ford has not put a repair out yet , you will receive another letter when we have a repair" so I guess they won't do anything until ford actually tells them.

Exactly. Takata has so many cars they need to send parts for, that it will take a LONG time.

Mine is on the list as of 5/27/15.
The only issue is there is not remedy yet available, although it does say the dealer will replace the driver airbag inflator with a new one, free of charge.
Guess I may be wearing my racing helmet from now on when I drive the Mustang?!

Have a 2014 GT convertible and got my recall notice today on my ford.com.
Called dealer and their not sure when parts will be into fix it. Not happy at all.
They said it's safe to drive unless the air bag goes off! Duh! Humidity can cause
It to go off without any type of crash as well.

Good lord I hope humidity can't cause it to go off. We just got done with flooding. That's pretty humid.

My dealer told me they will be contacted next month with the Vin's in their area and hopefully Ford will have a fix for the inflator................as of today there is no fix. I was at the dealer because the Mustang has lost a pinion seal and when they take the yoke out they will have to replace it as it's a one time only part, go figure.

How many Takata airbags have inflated without a problem and saved lives? I'll play the odds. The longer I can keep my car away from the stealership, the better.
