Question about supercharger

This is for all you guys with forced induction . I've always wondered if there is a certain mileage on the motor where it would be foolish to invest in a blower instead of just buying a new car and blowing that kind of money on one where it will be used through the more "youthful" years of the car ?

Just hit 27,000 . I feel like it would have been ideal to add a blower right when I got it but I didn't know enough about them at the time and didn't think they were practical for dd's but my thinking has changed

Alright thanks , just wondering what would be a mileage that you wouldn't really want to put a blower on our cars ? Kind of a vague question because it all depends on how you take care of it .

I wouldn't put a blower on a car with 75,000 +, but that's just my personal opinion. Not for safety reasons, just because. I put mine on around 30k. You're at the perfect time to do it.

Ya just wondering , I've heard a few different opinions on mileage and supercharging . It's usually either at first purchase or around 30k when some warranties are up .

Yeah it is tough to find a consensus on it. Forced induction is all in the tune

I've got a friend with a 2V, he put a supercharger on it at 180,000 miles. Hasn't had an issue, currently 211? Miles (not 100% sure). Which it's in low boost, and he beats the guts out of it. Not one problem, but the car is very well maintained.

All in the tune man. And the maintenance. Always check your coolant levels, have your boost gauge running at all times, check your A/F ratio periodically. Treat it well and it will treat you well!

I added my supercharger at 3200 miles after the second oil change and had it on almost a year. Currently at 5k miles. I thought that might have been too early lol but it's been almost a year and the car drives great. Having said that, I have a 1998 f150 with 228k on it and it's procharged. Put the blower on at 160k and new I chanced the motor going out but it just won't. I've even tried to break it
