Finally got around to getting the tint done :)

Just got back a little while ago from getting my windows tinted. For you guys in NJ, I went to Tropic Window Tint in Union. Very professional and did a great job. Went with 20% from shoulders back and 35% on the sides. Changed the whole look!

Thanks!

Very true. First thing I did when I bought my 94 S-10 Blazer new was get tint. When I sold it 12 years later the interior was like new. I didn't tint my 94 Mustang and the interior had to be redone and cost me a hell of a lot more than the tint would have. Lesson learned...

Looks nice.
Remember to use ammonia free window cleaner on it. I had my windshield done with a light tint/UV cutter and some yahoo at the car wash jacked it up with ammonia spray. I always wash it myself except maybe twice since new.

Thanks for the reminder, gotta check to see what I have. I only use Stoners and I think they're safe.

I've never been to a car wash with mine. Previous owner may have, but the paint was in very good shape when I bought her. I've found it better to go an entire winter without a wash than bring it to a car wash once.

Thanks! I'm off exit 153, not far at all. Usually go to the Whiskey Cafe show on Saturday nights but haven't been there yet this year.

Did they have any trouble applying the tint at the lower part of the rear glass? That area is so tight on the fastback I can't even get my hand in there to clean the window!

Yeah, I gotta be careful. Around me though, they don't bother you at all unless you driving like an *** or doing something stupid. Only time I was given a hard time about my front plate was at a seatbelt check. Cop just asked where it was and I told him safe in the trunk so it doesn't get any rock chips. He was cool and smiled.

I watched them the entire time, waiting area is in the shop. These guys are pros, took him no time at all and it came out perfect. They've been there for 25 years so I didnt expect any issues. Funny, I said the same thing, I can barely clean it properly!

Thanks! More show than necessity here compared to TX. Why are you replacing yours?
