Just installed o/r x and lund tune..

Holy ****, my car just barked the tires at around 75-80mph. It wouldn't even bark 2nd before. First test drive has left me like..

It's crazy. I honestly didn't expect much more than a louder car, and I definitely got that, but it gained some serious power.

I remember the first drive after doing o/r x and tune on my old 2v and I didn't notice much at all. Not the case with the coyote.

Damn that makes me want a tune. But I'm saving up for a VMP supercharger and it's said it comes with a solid tune. So I don't want to spend money that could be going toward the supercharger for a tune that I'm just going to replace.

That was my plan as well but I doubt I'll be getting one now. And if so it won't be anytime soon.

The fit is great. It doesn't hang too low like the bbk x did on my old car and I didn't have to play with it to stop leaks. Bolted it up and done.

I'm not gonna pretend it isn't expensive. Look it up on summit racing, that's where i finally got mine. I placed the order with a couple other places showing that it was in stock but then was contacted saying it was on back order.

Here it is, like I said it's not one of the cheaper pipes.

That's not that bad. The MRT H-pipe is right around the same price off road...

Lol not many ppl have....they have a website, and a YouTube channel. A friend of mine who is a welder knew about them when I purchased the car, and I fell in love with the MRT KR's. High quality stuff as well.

Yeah definitely buy quality the first time. I bought a bbk x for my 96 because I got it brand new for $75. It would never seal right, and as I said before it hung way too low. Never again.

Yeah I've never owned anything BBK personally, but I hear fitment/quality is junk.

Lethal Performance works good for me...fit perfectly. But went with the H instead of the X.

Are the resonator-less OTA pipes worthless? I'm just not really fond of the idea of cutting my resonators out, would much rather replace the piping. I have the GT500 mufflers, which are about perfect soundwise for me and the wife, but I'd like a little something more. Maybe I'm better off with installing the x pipe section? (definitely leaving the cats in)

I can't answer that as my resonators are still on.

X pipe changes the tone and sound, but doesn't make it louder. In my opinion h pipe is louder.

If you delete the cats it will. Mine is pretty damn loud now.

^ I agree, but how much of that is the x pipe or the cat deletes? I had magnaflow street car backs and stock h pipe, it was pretty loud. Then I got the magnaflow true x, wasn't sure what to expect. Sounded more refined, I loved it. But it wasn't louder. It actually was quieter in my case. Even my wife mentioned the sound difference.

Well yeah but I just assumed we were talking o/r x. I think x pipes sound better than h as well.

My coworker who is into jacked up 4wd trucks and straight pipes, told me I'm gonna get a ticket when he first heard my car after the o/r x. lol

Yeah off road will def make it louder I have no argument with that. He didn't say off road in his post so I didn't think about it being off road. But since it's on your thread and that's what was being discussed your prob right.
