h&r super sport suspension with 20" wheels will they rub ?

I am looking to purchase 20" wheels 20x9 in the front and 20x10.5 in the rear for my 2014 mustang gt and i am thinking about lowering it on h&r super sport lowering springs and I'm wondering if they will rub or not, the springs drop the car about 1.7" in the front and 2.4" in the rear

You won't, I just wouldn't go more then a 315 in the rear depending on your off set of your wheels I'm a little over 2.5" in the rear and do not rub Click image for larger version

You might. 2.4" is really slamming it. Make sure to get the proper offset on your wheels. Youre going to want at least +45. I was told that for a 10.5" wheel on our cars you need +52...do your homework.

H&R "states" a 1.7 and 2.4 drop but that is extreme. 20's are perfect with these springs, you will love them. I called tirebuyer.com and they did the homework/math for me and everything turned out perfect.

your wheel diameter makes zero difference on what will and will not rub, its the overall tire height that matters.

You can have the stock ... what is it 235 / 55 / 18, which is a 28" tall tire.

You can also have a 245 / 45 / 19 which is just under 28" tall

You can have a 245 / 40 / 20 which is also just under 28" tall

Makes no difference, just check the height of the tires you want. Obviously this speaks nothing for strut clearance and all that, my comment is strictly in regards to height.

What about 255/35/20 and 305/30/20 will they rub or would 255/35/20 and 275/35/20 ? which would be better because I am trying to get wide tires in the back but not too wide I'm trying to buy wheels and tires and lowering springs all together

It rides really well actually, and I put my car through its paces too. I plan on lowering the rear a bit more for some upcoming shows here soon as well just to get the rear tires tucked.

The only way I see that rubbing is if you lower the car and don't adjust your panhard bar to compensate for the axle moving under the body.

I'm personally running a 305/35/20 in the rear on a 20x10 and have had zero issues.

the rear wheel offset is +45mm and the front is +35mm do you think ill be fine ? i also don't want tires that are going to be super skinny that if they do get damage that they hurt the rim

They are not, they're the MMD 551c's. They discontinued the silver ones in 20's though.
