I'm going to give up trying to bracket race my 2014 GT.

Car runs well and realitively fast ,12.60s @ 111 is best. But the consistency is a joke. And mine is an automatic. The car will not repeat. ET's vary by tenths not by 2 or 3 hundreths. And in bracket racing that just won't cut it. And this is after a tune. I ran it box stock and it did the same. The tune did help the throttle lag a lot and made the car faster but still no consistency. Some guys said the computer is constantly adjusting for air quality, temps etc. that it makes the car difficult to dial. Anyone else experience this. And if so did you figure out a cure? Thanks!

The best way to do it if you can't get it by the computer, is to shift it at a certain rpm in every gear.

Where are you running? Track? Temp? How much cool down between runs...??

If your running in June you are in warmer temps which will affect performance.

My car is very consistent.

Get a real tune and it'll run the same assuming you don't spin.

Getting a car setup to run consistent is and never has been easy.
Can you list all of the mod's you've done to the car and what converter you are running, I assume you are running the stocker.

That trap speed is extremely disappointing if you ask me.

Average trap speeds for stock cars are 108-112. I sure wouldn't be happy if my car was no faster than stock after tuning it.

You didn't say what your 60 ft times are. That is usually where the inconsistency is usually at. I run 12.5 at 112. 1.90 60 ft. All I have is a carbon fiber drive shaft. It's all about the 60 foot times on these cars.

Trap speed shows how a car does in a roll race. You trap under 120 it will be a turd during a toll also.

That's how I go off trap speeds, Idc what your ET is.

If it hooks up and launches straight throw a wet 100 shot of nitrous on it. i used to bracket race an efi car and had similar issues with et consistency. The spray was "weather in a bottle" and after the nitrous the car was deadly consistent as long as the nitrous was set up correctly which is pretty easy to do. Car ran the same if it was winter or summer, humid or dry.

First off, lets recognize that track location and weather can make 1/2 second and 3-5 mph difference in how the exact same car runs. All the hero sub da and sea level times and traps that are posted frequently are not the average. Lets actually quantify the when and where before everyone throws their usual opinion into the ring about this and that tuner...

I feel like I have to go back to kindergarten mentality wise to read this regurgitated c rap...

He said it was no different without a tune. I agree with 60ft times. Suspension needs to be right to get that launch right, then you should be more consistent. It shouldn't do much different after it's out of first gear IMHO. Unless you're spinning going into 2nd. The times these cars run seem to vary wildly, then again, drivers vary wildly too. I would expect to see differences in et's on different days, the computer shouldn't be changing the car in the same day unless the temp/humidity where you are changes dramatically. Tire pressure will also vary, especially if the sun is on one side of the car and not the other.
