What do you think of this?

So the wife gave me the green light to order full exhaust tonight. I've been throwing around the idea for exhaust and came to the decision this evening on which to go with. So Kooks 1 7/8 LT, cattless mid(kooks), with Roush axle backs and resonator delete. Does any one have this combo of exhaust? I have the feeling this is going to be extremely loud but be my best bang for buck buy. Any feed back on this would be much appreciated!

And here's a picture of the 5.0 its going on

Most will say 1 7/8 is too big. Honestly this setup seems like it would be wayyyyyyy too raspy and loud

You mean perfect music to my ears . I live out in the outskirts of town so noise isn't a real issue here

If I'm being honest here... I think it would sound like absolute garbage. But if you think you will like the sound then go for it! Good on you for getting some quality headers as well lol. No bbk crap!!

I have x pipe, res deletes and roush axle backs and yes, it's raspy. I personally love the sound though. But I'm on stock headers as well.

Haha no worries I know for some that rasp isn't a thing but after hearing a few with long tubes and Roush axle back that was a huge factor in why I bought a 5.0. With that being said though I have no idea if they used kooks and kept there resonators. The way I figured it if I was going to be doing headers I want to do this once and with the highest quality.

My car came with the BBK longtubes and o/r x pipe. I just put on the roush axle back today and so far I'm digging it. It has a deeper idle than the frpp sorts I had and isn't too loud at cruise speed. I be taking it on a long trip this weekend and if it doesn't make me shoot myself then I'll be keeping it.

See every one I talk to says the Roush axle backs have no drone. The flowmasters that came on my car are terrible. They just drone on ever rpm range

My 11 came with UPR x and roush axle backs and I love it! Not very much drone at all.

I've got Kooks with offroad x, still have the resonators, and opened BBK Veritune mufflers. At idle and cruising, it sounds deep and wonderful. At WOT, you can hear nothing but motor. Its raspy, and sounds like a race car. Sounds cheesy, but that's the best way to explain it. Extremely loud and I love it. It shakes the house when the wife starts it in the morning in the garage.

I've learned to not really listen to what people say about exhaust they don't have. Everyone said my setup would sound terrible but I like it and seems like a lot of people that hear it love it too

What do you think of this?

To each his own. People like different things. If we all liked the same thing this world would be boring. What I like some hate; what I hate some like. It's what makes the world interesting. I hope you like your exhaust choice.

I thought the Kooks were not a true Long Tube but a Mid Length header unlike American Racing which is a true Long Tube. Exhaust systems are subjective, I'm old and most of my hearing is gone anyway............just be respectful of other people around you..........setting off car alarms is a little over the top for me.

See that's why I went with exhaust that I've heard in person because I know I already like it.

I went ahead and place the order late last night so hopefully it will all be here by Wednesday at the latest. And this evening I went ahead and cut out my resonators since I had nothing else going on this afternoon. Can't beat 60$ to have them cut out and pipes welded in.

What are you using for headers now and how much are you asking. I didn't see them in for sale section here?

Putting the car back to stock today and trading it in. Asking $900 shipped for them along with the off road x-pipe. They are two years old with 3000 or so miles on them.

Damn, I'm assuming you had a tuner as well, you sell that? If I didn't just a G on other things I would've been all over this...

I do have an unlocked SCT device that I don't use since I was tuning with different software.
