Raxiom halo fogs

hey i just purchased these,
Raxiom Chrome Mustang Fog Lights - CCFL Halo 49176 (13-14 GT) - Free Shipping

and i was wondering if you can connect the halos onto the daytime running lights (led bars)
customer service said ou can just splice into the headight wire,
i was wondering if anyone has connected it already and if it was hard finding the wire for the DRL?

thanks

You can connect it to any 12v source. So if the DTRL's run 12v then yes. I have mine running off the parking lights as they recommend. I also thought it would be cool to go off the DTRL at first, but then I realized they turn off when you put your blinker on. So you would be stuck with one halo on when you put your turn signal on. So I decided against it.

I'm assuming it would pop back on as soon as the signal is off and the DTRL comes back on. I just think that would look strange though. That's why I didn't do it.

Hey Mark - It's looking like you got some solid info here. I'll be straight forward I've electrocuted myself enough that I personally wouldn't suggest splicing the wiring on your own unless you're really mechanically inclined and you're able to get a step by step from one of the other members that had this set up in here. Best of luck and let us know how everything works out!

They are right there for you. The lights come with blue connectors that allow you to connect two wires very easily. They aren't the best quality wise but like I said mine have been in for 6 months and haven't had a single problem

just got them done, the raxiom halos were half lit on one side, dead on the other. after turning the car off and on, the half one died. shop tested the wires, said it was the halos were done , not wiring issue. 3/3 raxiom products that i've bought that had to be replaced. thanks for making me paying 2x the installation fees raxiom!
