Removal of the stock h pipe.

I'm having a little trouble removing the stock h pipe from the manifolds. I can get on the bolts without any issue however, I cannot break them loose. I broke my 3/8ths ratchet earlier. Going to try a breaker bar in a Little while. I'm far from weak but how much force did y'all have to put on the bolts to break them loose. Was the car warm at all? Mine has been sitting on jack stands for a day so it is cold. Any advice would help.

A couple more months and my license plate will say 1fstcpa!!!!

Mine has 40k on it and I live in Florida close to the beach. I'm assuming the salt in the air has an affect on the bolt as well.

O ya absolutely. I live about 30 min from the coast and the salt in the air is hornblende on metals.

You need to make sure you are soaking the bolts with PB blaster and using a six point socket and not a twelve. Also make sure you are using 3/8 extensions instead of 1/2 inch do you don't have to use a swivel and have straight excess to the bolt.

Fun times I remember when I did mine lol. I broke a ratchet also. All 4 bolts were a pain, its like they welded them in there.

Are you replacing with an off road pipe?
I did mid length headers and broke one of the studs on the cat.
I used 1/2 bb and 18" extension

pull the battery and box on the pass side, you'll have straight access to the last one, if you haven't allready.

You do not have to use a swivel if you use 3/8 extensions instead of 1/2 inch extensions. It will fit and clear the battery box to have perfect access to the pita bolt on the passenger side. Trust me, I just did this two weeks ago.
