Carbon fiber

What do you guys think? Yay or nay... I love the way it looks now, the only thing I didn't put is in the dash. I think that would make it overkill. Over all it looks like it will stay there and won't come off. It says it's for the 10-12 mustangs but it fits all 10-14s. Only reason I got it is because I won it for $96 on eBay and they normally cost almost 200.Click image for larger version

I'm planning on it in my car. But you're right there is a point of overkill. Also there's a point, to me at least, that it needs more. But I gets a 👍 in my book. Makes our plain boring interior a little more interesting, and higher quality looking.

Yeah. also I didn't want to put it on my dash since I want to upgrade to the premium dash, I think it will make the carbon fiber outstand more. But then again I've seen the pictures on AM with it on the dash and they look good. I'm still debating.

From what I've heard, these kits are not the best when it comes time for removal. They leave a VERY sticky residue behind that can take days to remove. I've also heard that they tend to delaminate after a few summers.

As a person who did a carbon fiber wrap at one point because I like carbon fiber, I've got to tell you I think this particular kit looks "stick on" and WAY to shiny for me.

I don't like to beat people up, but you asked for opinions. End of the day all you need to know is if you like it or not.

I'm putting the Roush carbon fiber kit in mine; I have a Roush so duh on that one. But I'd recommend finding a car that has it in them. Then try and find one the premium dash with the carbon fiber kit. You could make your decision after seeing them. Only issue is finding them.

IG @Oxford5pointoh

It's cool, I actually like it. Although I can see why you say it will be hard to remove the residue of it, the 3M tape is really strong and probably it will be a pain in the *** to remove it all.

I am going to Hydro dip. Hopefully before summer is over. I like the complete look instead of it ending at seams. It does cost more though. Also get to choose from more options and the base coat color.

Heck, yes it is. It's hard to keep it clean, but it sure looks good.

Ya, thats the thing... theres a guy 2 hours away near Sarasota will do all that I want for $800 or so but I have to take parts to him and pick up. Do all my own removal. Thats actually quite a bit cheaper than most

True, but still that's still expensive. For 800 I can do a lot to my car lol.
