Rear jack stand placement

Can you place the jack stands on the body rail just inside of where the pinch welds are?

If I don't need the rear suspension unloaded I will place my jackstands under the rear axle on each side.

I'm finicky about using non-standard lift points for weight bearing. Be very careful to not punch through or bend the hell out of your floorpan.

When I'm on a lift I always put the arms just in front of the LCA mount.
Here is a picture on the lift.
As was mentioned if you don't need to have the rear end loose I'd jack it up from under the center section and put jack stand under each side of the axle housing.

I need the suspension unloaded. I just switched it to under the pinch welds. Needed to jack it up tonight to do the work tomorrow. Trying to get everything off so tomorrow I can just put stuff on. Plus it gets to hot here in Texas so the garage only stays "cool" for so long.

Right now I got it in the pinch welds without a block on both sides and my jack that came with the car on one side as an aid

There's cut outs in the pinch weld for jack stands. There's literally even Arrows on the body work pointing to where they are.

I understand. Clearly I stated I knew of those positions. Just wondering on other placements since my jack doesn't fit those cutouts too well. That's why I was using the nearest body frame as a prospective position

Jack the front by the K-member and the rear by the diff and you'll have all the room in the world.
