A/C Problem

My passenger side is the only side that is putting out cold air when the AC is on...both sides are putting out same amount of air but the driver side is not even cold....

Am I low on Freon?

Thanks

I doubt very much if that's a low Freon problem.
I don't believe Mustangs have the ability to adjust temperature individually on drivers side and passenger sides, as many cars do these days. Then I wouldn't think that there would be separate doors in the ducts where one may have malfunctioned.
Does it do the same for the heater?

Looking into this question further I see that some Mustangs do have a dual temperature control. So with that in mind it could be related to a blend door and/or whatever controls it.
But like I asked about, what does it do in the heat mode?
I found a similar problem and question and the answer turned out to be air compressor problem. Doesn't make a lot of sense to me, but what do I know??

I would check the actuators they're behind the glove box. Usually they tick when they're going bad but I don't know if that happens all the time. The actuators are cheap at the auto store but they are a real pain to switch because they're really packed in there

Found the problem, I guess.

Went to advance and used their pressure gauge to check the freon in the car and it was pretty low, filled it up with 2 12oz cans of freon WITHOUT sealant. And it worked like a charm

I'm guessing because the air comes through the passenger side first that it it only had enough cold air to put out for the passenger side

Oh well, all is well as of now..hopefully it holds. We will see

Glad to hear it!
Chances are you have a leak. Hopefully it's a very slow leak.

It's because only half the evap coil gets cold when it's low, thats why the passenger side got cold only.

That seems to make a lot more sense for the difference in temps between the two sides.
