OP, real quick before I down another carb shake and get back at benching my ride, any thought to pitching in a few $ and opting for them to replace the motor with an aluminator? I've always wondered if that was possible. Wouldn't think so but when you see two @hole meatheads kiss n make up, well, maybe it is possible!

Just bustin nuts guys, hope it made you laugh.

There has been a few cases of this. Someone on this forum did awhile back actually. You just have to pay the difference. I'm sure it depends on the dealership ultimately. But it can be done.

We have s hit on this poor guys thread enough. Hope they fix it for free.

Rap. I have weighed 225-235 most (245 heaviest) of my life (6.0 foot tall) past high school. Just this year I have dropped down to 195. Feel a c rap ton better overall. Can run 5k's no problem. My strength is way down, but I dont care anymore. Want to be healthy over being big at my age.

Thought I was on the bodybuilding forum for a second lol

If it's not warrantied that's probably the route I'd go. I can't see them putting a different motor in the car and then warranting it if ford does cover it. Don't wanna push my luck lol

Metal found in oil...

Lol at the shenanigans going on in here....lol glad everyone is settled down now. I always do legs the beginning of the week, all the squat racks are free BECAUSE it's national chest day lol. Rap, nothing beats free weight squats, and front squats. Hack squats and presses are good but a bit too strict. Do you have a rack available where you're at?

Also to stay on topic, sort of lol, this just makes me that much more hesitant about tuning the car lol.

A guy I work with doesn't understand that you have to change the way you train in order to keep growing. He just says"yeah" I know. But he never does it. Probably why I'm way bigger than he will ever be.

Variety is the key to life. I have a hypertrophy, and a heavy day for each muscle group, always changing it up. Squats are my old faithful lol. Someone should make an off topic workout/gym thread...

Well I appreciate it but I don't consider myself an expert of any sorts. Just able to talk about my experiences. Just as you do. Those guys know way more than I do.

I appreciate you guys on here. While I don't have a 5.0 I do like to learn about them. Some day I will have a 5.0!

+1 on that zinc.

Dub9stang, the aluminator is a ford motor and if they agree to install it, it should be warranteed just like the original motor.

Getting the car back Wednesday with a new motor, finally. I haven't even been using the forum because it just makes me want my car back even more. Only downside is I'm probably going to wait at least a year before I modify it just to make sure everything is working properly

They said ford decided to put a new motor in it rather than rebuild it but the new motor is already going in and they gave me a pickup day so I'm pretty sure I'm in the clear

Wow! I'm very happy for you that it all worked out. I had mixed feelings about it.
