Metal found in oil...

She's off to ford... Something happened in cylinder 1 causing knock, found metal in oil and filter. One of the saddest moments of my life. Had it for less than 500 miles

The joys of buying a used car. Never know what was done to them.

I know of a few 5.0's that were/are being sold as CPO cars. One was twin turbo with 700rwhp and beat on constantly. It looks 100% stock now, at the dealership. Lmao poor sucker who buys it lol

Metal found in oil...

That sucks. Sounds like the last owner abused it.

2013 gt premium 20,000 miles. It's still under factory warranty so let's see how that goes after they find out I tuned the car... If they don't warrantee it I am throwing something massive under the hood... After it sits in my garage for years..

My goal is that they at least cover half or something like that, being that every car I've ever owned has been a Ford and JUST got it, but I feel a lot of arguments with managers and Ford customer care coming..

Gee, I guess that "50 point CPO inspection" they do to qualify the car as a CPO is useless; go figure.

I never trusted that, other then if it gave a free 2 year warranty extension.

That free warranty extension is obviously paid for by the sap who buys a CPO car since the price basically goes up what that warranty costs plus some. That's basically a fancy way of forcing you to buy the warranty they would otherwise have to try to convince you to buy later

Did you happen to reload the stock tune? Prior to getting it towed away.

Engine is out of the car and they are disassembling it to look at what went wrong, they said it IS warrantied... Probably putting in a new engine... Sshhhhh it was never tuned, ya'll hear?! I feel like the unluckiest and luckiest man in the world

That's awesome but they will find out that it was tuned. Now that doesn't mean they won't still cover it but I wouldn't get too excited.

Also remember that they still need to start the new motor. So if you left the tune they will find out that way. I'm assuming they will probably flash it so you might just want to mention it to them at some point if that's the case.

Stock tune is on the car now, don't get me wrong I'm still skeptical but I think they will cover it, I've gotten a couple cars from this place in the past and they know I just got this one. There's no way it was caused from the tune, they gotta understand that too. I've never taken the car above stock redline. It's the waiting game now

Don't be so sure, it's not the tune. I burnt up the valves when my car was less than 2 weeks old (bought brand new) from a bad tune.
Fixed them and moved on. Without any troubles till the motor gave out.

It only takes a tune a short amount of time to do damage.

But your in the clear they already started so that's on them now. Not you

You bought the car used right? Don't admit to tuning it. Say you bought the car from the dealer used and they may think the tune was done by the previous owner.

Did you log the "Lund" tune?

Love how someone recommends a tuner in other threads and then throws them under the bus as bad tune potentially causing the damage... Lol.

Never put him under the bus. He admitted that he sent the wrong tune for the car at the time, (risk you take) this was about hmmmm let me think 3 years ago..........

And my car is still remotely tuned by him and doing perfectly fine.

You take a risk with any tune. AED, LUND ect. They all have had failures.

Just like when I lost my stock motor did I blame it on my tune? No I came out and said what it was. Distribution issue and just to much of a hit on stock internals.

Same thing there fixed it and moved on.

Not to mention your LMAO at email tunes and logging. It's all there in writing. What do you recommend? Maybe your too busy working out to answer questions cohertly. That was from a nitrous PM. Sorry again.

Good luck to you.

I do workout a lot. Yes I do. That a problem? Didn't think so...... go on with your bull****.

And I do not have a email tune anymore. Haven't since I replaced my valves.

Other people, that's the only choice they have so more power to them. Not to sure what your trying to get at
